Heroes of the Valley

The book is about a young boy called Halli who became a legendary hero saving the valley from the Trows . He is the youngest son of the Sveinssons . The house was named after Svein , a legendary hero of the valley . There are a total of 12 houses in the valley . Each house is named after their heroes . They are Svein , Gest , Gisli , Rurik , Eirik , Egil , Ketil , Erlend , Arne , Hakon and Orm . Each of these heroes defeated the Trows and saved the valley . The battle is called “The Battle of The Rock”.

Introduction

A Trow is a creature that is a big threat to the valley. It has long arms and claws and travels undergrounds . It invades farms at night and kills chickens and humans for food. They are twice as big as humans and pose a danger to the valley . Every trader walking in the valley has been killed so far , and many tales of the Trows have been told .

What is a Trow ?

Annoyed by the killing , Svein assembles the 12 heroes together to fight off the Trows . The battle takes place in a huge rock that is about few hundred feet high . Although the heroes lost and died , the number of dead Trows was so high that ever since that battle , no Trows have been spotted. This battle is named “The Battle of The Rock”.

Many years later , the people in the valley are all living their very normal lives . It seems that everyone had forgotten about the Trows . Some even thought that it was just a legend. In order to prove the Trow’s existence , Halli sets off on a journey to find a Trow . On his journey , he is accompanied by a girl named Aud . Aud is the daughter of the Arne. During the journey , they find many secrets of the valley , including the encounter with the Trow King .

Story

This book is very interesting , and it keeps me engrossed in it for the whole day once I started reading the very first few sentences . It has many adventures inside it , and shows how Halli become a great hero in the end . It can captivate one’s mind totally and erase all of your troubles . It is really a great book for people who love adventure books.
