How to use Hescar so that your favorite University can find you

My name is Edwin and in this short demo I will show you how to use this awesome new site to get a place in

your favorite college or university in a simple and easy way.

First of all you have so many choices on Hescar. We have more than 8,000 courses at 100

Universities in 10 countries – all the major countries where you can get an excellent degree

Australia Indonesia New Zealand

Canada India Russia

India Malaysia United Kingdom

United States of America

Now let me show you how easy it is to find your favorite courses on Hescar.

Just go to the top of the page and choose from country, course and level of study then click Search.

If you want to fine tune your search with specific college or course names or your tuition fee budget

then click “+ Advanced Search” and then click Search

So lets say you choose to do a Bachelor‟s Degree in Accounting in Australia … tada you have 13

Universities which offer this program (we‟re showing you just a few here in this demo).

Next you can click one of the courses to get more details. Lets try Bachelor of Accounting at La Trobe University,

Australia. You have as much info as you need including duration, tuition fees, entry requirements, etc. There‟s more info of

course, we‟re just giving you a snapshot below.

You can also click the name of the university itself for more info on the university. Lets try La Trobe University. Again, there‟s lots more info and this is just a snapshot

Also, you can click “view courses offered by La

Trobe University” at the top or

bottom of the page & it will take you to all the courses offered by it as

shown in the next slide.

Here you will see all the courses offered by La Trobe (note, what you are seeing is just a selection, there‟s more on the

site)

Ok now lets go back to where you searched for a Bachelors Degree in Accounting in Australia to learn more about our

powerful site

We‟re now going to show you how to compare several courses side by side. Just go back to your search page, „tick‟ the

checkbox on the left of the course and then click “Compare”. In this example we want to compare Applied Accounting at Murdock, with Bachelor of Accountancy at Uni of South

Australia and Bachelor of Accounting at La Trobe.

You then get the Compare page which allows you to compare up to 3 courses side by side. Makes choosing a course or university

far simpler doesn‟t it.

If you have a question on the course or Uni, just click “Post a Question” and type

in your question. A Uni Counselor will reply to you via the built in messaging

system on your Dashboard .

If you are interested in this course then just

bookmark it by clicking “Add to my list‟

Your Dashboard is on the left side of your screen. Use it to view your Profile, shortlisted courses (which you added to your list earlier) and also your questions and the

replies from Counselors

Important: If you are interested in a course then click “Add to my List” so that it is bookmarked as “my shortlisted courses”. You need to do this to rank your preferred courses later (as I will show you shortly) so that the Uni knows what your top choices are.

Once you have searched a few courses and viewed the course and University information, you need to then complete your personal

details so that the Uni can offer you a place. Click on “My Profile” on the left (shown in red here) and start with your Personal details. We

just need the bare minimum here.

Then under “Education background” fill in the details of your latest school and click “Save”

After you “Save” your school details you need to complete your Education Details. If these are your forecast results remember to „tick‟ Yes.

You can add more subjects then click “Save” when finished.

If forecast – tick Yes

You can view your results or edit the details by clicking under the “Action” column as shown below.

You can then add “Extra-curricular activities” and/or “Work experience” if you wish but this is not compulsory.

You are close to finishing your application. The next step is to rank your course selection and ask the Uni to come get you. First click “My

Shortlisted Courses” under „user menu‟ on the left of your screen. All the courses you have shortlisted now appear. Your next step is to rank in order

of Priority as shown in the next slide.

The left column states „Priority Course‟. Your highest priority course should be No. 1 and lower priority below that. To move a course higher in order of

priority click the „Blue arrows‟ pointing upwards in the „Rank‟ column. To move it lower click the Blue arrow pointing down. If you want to delete a course

just click the Red „x‟ button.

Once you have made your final selections just click “Hey University, come get me” and you’re done. That’s it. A Uni Representative will then contact you & help you through the rest of the process of getting a place in your chosen Uni

That‟s it. Now just sit back and wait for the University representative to contact you and help you to complete

your application.

Go ahead and give it a try, its really simple and very effective.

You don‟t have to go through the difficult process of applying to a University and hoping that they will accept

you. This way you will know for sure if they will accept you & only then do you proceed with your application.
