SPELLING MANUALS

Mentor ‐ This is our PC software available as LitCrit Mentor, Mental Math Mentor, Science Mentors, Spelling Mentor, and Spelling/Vocab Mentor.  LitCrit Mentor, Science Mentors, and Spelling/Vocab Mentors utilize the multiple‐choice format, while Spelling Mentor tests spelling with a fill‐in‐the‐blank format. Mental Math Men‐tor is a unique tool where drills vary and are scattered among different drop‐down menus.  Mentors keep up with questions missed by students on their last attempt, so students can master content methodically. Soft‐ware may be installed on multiple computers at one location keeping a history for up to 20 students. Spelling Mentor features the ability to preview words and to request the next letter. Download a free sampler on our website as software is non‐refundable and non‐returnable. An Extended Usage License for Mentors is available to schools for installation on up to five students' home computers.   

Flips ‐ These are our internet‐based flash cards for online study available as LitCrit Flips, BioFlips, SpellingFlips, and Spelling/Vocab Flips. The Flips portal is visually pleasing and ideal for school, home, and on‐the‐go study because a student can login from any computer with online access.  Flips are also good for team study with a smart board or shared computer. One password/login is  good for one year (subscription expires after 365 days). PC & Mac compatible; requires Flash, (not available on iPad or iPhone). Keeps track on a per‐session basis; questions, words, or problems are separated into sets of 50‐100 for reasonable study session length; results are not saved once student logs out. Try free demos on each product's webpage before you buy as this product is non‐refundable and non‐returnable.  Tests, Notes, Concepts, Practice Packets, and Invitationals are printed materials.  Videos and Flips are sold as subscriptions that you can access via our Video Store on our website; once your purchase has been made, you are emailed a login name and password. Video purchases and Flips expire after 365 days.

Jennifer Dziura was  the 1995 and 1996 Lincoln‐Douglas  champion  of  Virginia, represented  her  district  in  the NHL  Nationals  in  both  Lincoln‐Douglas and  foreign extempora‐neous speaking, and went on  to captain  the  Parliamentary     Debate  Team  at  Dartmouth    College. She has  judged Lincoln‐Douglas, C‐X, and parliamentary debate,  and  is  the  author  of  a booklet entitled  "Dewar's Guide 

to Debating" for Dewar's Scotch. She  is also author or co‐author of over a dozen educational books, has entertained the troops in the Middle East as a  standup comedian, and has appeared as a "genius" in television pilots for SyFy and National Geographic. She runs  an  adult  spelling  bee  in  Brooklyn, NY,  and  has  spoken  at     Harvard,  Yale,  and other universities  about designing  your own career, networking, and forging your own path to success.

How it works: Classroom Invitationals are the same tests that are given on any of our 12 official test dates, but are sent to you two weeks later to keep tests used for hosted meets still unique and unseen. Classroom invitationals can be administered to students at your own school only at the convenience of the teacher or coach and answer keys are included. Just one word of caution, please make sure that a test that you are buying is not one that you took at a prior meet, well, unless you just want your own copy to use later -- this is okay too!
