DESCRIPTION
TheLD(E)seriesairheatersmanufacturedbyBousquetTechnologies isaventilationunitdesigned forheatingmake-upand/orrecirculatedairandislistedbycETLus.
Compact,economicalandeasilymaintained,theseunitsincorporateacentrifugalfan,anindirectgas-firedcoilwithhighmodulation,motorizeddampersandanairintakehoodwithintegratedbirdscreenandfilters.
Optionalequipmentfortheseunitscanincludeamixingboxwithfilter,returndamperandacoilsectionwithdrainpanforenergyrecoveryorcooling.
Therangeofcapacitiesfortheseunitsincludeairflowsfrom740CFMupto4938CFM(351to2330l/s.),withheatingcapacitiesfrom96MBHupto320MBHoutput(28to94KW)andatemperatureriseof60°Fupto120°F(33°Cto67°C).
CONSTRUCTION
TheLD(E)seriesheateraremanufacturedwith1-inchthickwallpanelsmadeof20Ggalvanizedsteel,withinternalreinforcefibreinsulation,assembledonagalvanizedsteelframeof14Gthicknesswithliftinglugsforhandling.
Theheatersarefactorytestedforcombustionandsequenceofoperationtoensuregoodworkingopera-tiononsite.Aseriesofinspectionsthroughoutallmanufacturingstepsguaranteesthesuperiorqualityoftheseunits.
GAS COILS
ThegascoilsusedintheLD(E)airheatersaremanufacturedwith304Lstainlesssteeltubesandarede-signedtoprovidehighturndownratiosevenwithsmallcapacities.
Eachtubeofthecoilisequippedwithatubularinjectionventuriburnerwithaneffectiveretentionheadandanignitionsystemusingthelatesttechnologies.Eachburnerisindividuallycontrolledbymeansofasolenoidvalve.
Furthermore,themaingassupplytotheventuriburnerspassesthrougha2-stepcontrolvalvetoenableburnersoperationat60%or100%oftheirnomi-nalcapacity.
Thiscombinationprovidesmultiplestepsofcapacity,calledmulti-stagesmod-ulation,makingitpossibletoobtainhigherturndownratiosforamoreprecisetemperaturecontrolandanincreasedcomfortfortheoccupants.
Inmid-heatingseason,thismodeofmultiplestagesmodulationeliminatestheheatsurgescausedbythefrequentstops/startsofconventionalunitsoperatinginon/offmodeormodulatingwithalowerturndownratio.Italsocontributestoprolongtheservicelifeoftheheateranditscontrols.
Theheatercoilsareequippedwithahighqualitypowerventerwithsafetydevicesthatensuretheexhaustofthecombustionproducts,aswellastheintroductionofcombustionairtoeachburner.

CHARACTERISTICS
Multiplestagesmodulationhasprovenitself.Sinceitsbeginning,itneverceasestodemonstratethatitisreliable,simpleandgivesexpectedresults.Comparingitwitha4:1modulationusedintubularorclam-shellgravityheatexchangers,theadvantagesofprecisetemperaturesatlowcapacityarenotable.
Inconcreteterms,theseadvantagestranslatethemselvesbyenergysavings,reducednumberofcyclesandapreciseleavingairtemperatureof±1ºFwhilebeingsimple.

Entirecasingshallbeinsulatedwithoneinchof“ReinforcedCoatedFibreglass”,exceptattheexchangersectionwhereinsulationshallbesuitableforhightemperatureanddoublewithgalvanizedsteel.
Thefloorwillbemadeofgalvanizedsteelandwillbeinsulatedwitha2-inchfibreglassinsulation.Noweldingwillbeusedfortheassemblyofthecasingorthestructuralframetopreventsurfacerust.Allpre-wiredelectricalcontrols(120Vand24V)willbeinsidewithalargesurfaceaccesspanelandseparatedfromhighvoltagepowering.
Theaccessdoorswillbeequippedwithquickopeningknobhandles.TheyneedtobeequippedwithalockabledevicerequiringatooltoopenthedoorsbytheoperatorsasrequestedbyCSA.
UNIT CONSTRUCTION
Thegasheatexchangerwillbemadeof304Lstainlesssteelcapableofresistingtosurfacetemperaturesupto1450˚Fandthecorrosionofcondensationpresentateachcycleinthecombustionproducts.Theheatexchangersmadeof409,409-titaniumstainlesssteeloraluminizedsteelarenotacceptable.
Alltubeswillbeequippedwithaventuritypetubularinjectionburner,fittedwithanefficientretentionheadandincludesthegasplumbingandnecessarycontrolsforsafeoperation.
Theventuriburnerassemblymustoperatewithmultiplestagescontrolanddeliveraturndownratioof_____:1and___stages,whilemaintainingacombustionefficiencycomplyingwithASHRAE90.1require-mentsovertheentiremodulationrange.
Thegas coilswillbeequippedwithahighqualitypower venterwith thermalprotectionensuring theexhaustofcombustionproductaswellasthecombustionairintaketoeachburnerwithouttheuseofadrafthood.

Maingassupplytotheheaterwill incorporatea2-stagegasvalve,apressureregulator, two(2)highlimits,a24voltscontroltransformer,aflueflowswitchandadirectsparkignitionsystemwithelectronicflamesupervision.Themodulationsystemsintegratedwithtemperaturecontrolsandflamesupervisionarenotacceptable.Eachcomponentofthesesystemsmustbemanufacturedbywell-establishedcompa-niesandmustbeavailableatheatingwholesalers.
The«multiplestages»controlsconceivedfora0-10VDCinputsignalwillallowseachsolenoidvalvetoopenorcloseaswellasactivatingthemain2-stagevalveatlowandhighfireaccordingtotherequesteddemandwillensurealinearprogressionoftheheatingcapacity.

Themainelectricalsupplywillbeat___volts,__phase(s),60cycles,includingterminalblocks,magneticstartersforblowermotorandairtemperaturelimitcontrols.Anairmodulationsensortobeinstalledinthesupplyductand/orinthespaceisshippedlooseasanoption.
ELECTRICITY & CONTROLS
Thefilterswillbepleated,2-inchthickdisposabletype,havingaminimalefficiencyof30%andagoodresistancetohumidity.Theywillbeinstalledingalvanizedsteelrails.
FILTERS
Theinletairdamperswillbemadeofgalvanizedsteelwithoutwelding,willhaveopposedbladesandequippedwithabrandnameactuatorthatwillbeon/offormodulatingdependingonsequenceofop-eration.
DAMPERS
Theairintakewillbeequippedwithgalvanizedsteelbirdscreenandrainguttertoeliminatewateren-trainment.Thefiltersandtheair intakewillbedesignedforamaximuminletvelocityof500feetperminute.
AIR INTAKE
AlltheLD(E)seriesairheatersshallbelistedbycETLusforCanadaandtheUnitedStatesaccordingtotheCAN/CSAC22.23.2standardsNo236-05andANSI/UL1995ThirdEditionrespectively.
CERTIFICATION
Theunitmustbetestedandadjustedatfactory,beforeshipping.Aqualifiedtechnicianshouldperformthestartuponsite.

Subjecttothetermsandconditionshereof,duringthefirstyearaftertheoriginalinstallationoftheproductoreighteen(18)monthsformdateofshipmentbyBousquetTechnologiesInc.whicheveroccursfirst,wewillsupplyfreeofchargeanycomponentpart(s)ofourproductfoundtobedefectiveinmaterialorworkmanship.Anyreplacementpart(s)sosuppliedwillbewarrantedforthebalanceofourproduct’soriginalwarranty.Thepart(s)tobereplacedmustbeavailableinexchangeforthereplacementpart(s).Anylabor,material,transportation,freightorotherchargesincurredinconnectionwiththeperformanceofthiswarrantywillbetheresponsibilityoftheowneratthehourlyratesandpricestheninforce.Thislimitedwarrantyisonlyapplicabletonewandunusedproductspurchasedfromusorfromourauthorizeddistributors,providedthatouruserinstructionscontainedinouruserguidehavebeenadheredto.Yourecognizeandunderstandthatourobligationislimitedtoreplacingthepartfoundtobedefectiveandthatyouhavenofurtherrecourseagainstus.
THISWARRANTYDOESNOTCOVER:
(a)damagescausedbyaccident,abuse,negligence,misuse,riot,fire,floodorActsofGod(b)damagescausedbyoperatingtheproductinacorrosiveatmosphere(c)damagescausedbyanyunau-thorizedalterationorrepairofthesystemaffectingtheproduct’sreliabilityorperformance(d)damagescausedbyimpropermatchingorapplicationsoftheproductortheproduct’scomponents(e)damagescausedbyfailingtoprovideroutineandpropermaintenanceorservicetotheproduct(f)expensesin-curredforerecting,disconnectingordismantling theproduct (g)partsused inconnectionwithnormalmaintenance,suchasfiltersorbelts(h)productsnolongeratthesiteoftheoriginalinstallation(i)productsinstalledoroperatedotherthaninaccordancewiththeprintedinstructions,withthelocalinstallationorbuildingcodesorwithgoodtradepractices(j)productslostorstolen.
NooneisauthorizedtochangethisWARRANTYortocreateforusoronourbehalfanyotherobli-gationorliabilityinconnectionwithourproduct(s).Thereisnootherrepresentation,warrantyorconditioninanyrespect,expressedorimplied,madebyorbindinguponusotherthantheabove,norwillwebeliableinanywayforincidental,consequential,orspecialdamageshowevercausedsuchasbutnotlimitedto:lossofproductivity,damagescausedbydelays,lossofprofitsandmanagementtime.
Inordertoobtainreplacementpartsunderthisproduct’swarranty,contactthedealerorcontractorwhoinstalledorservicesourproducts.Onlydealersorcontractorswhoareregisteredwithusareauthorizedtoperformthiswarranty.Shouldthedealerorthecontractorneedassistance,theauthorizedagentforBousquetisavailableforsupport,andwe,atBousquet,inturn,supportouragent’sefforts.
RETAINTHISWARRANTYINYOURFILESFORFUTUREREFERENCE
Thiswarrantyisexpresslygivenandacceptedinlieuofanyandallotherwarranties,expressorim-plied,includingwithoutanylimitationanywarrantyofmerchantabilityorfitnessforaparticularpurpose.Somestates/provincesdonotallowforthedisclaimers,limitationsandexclusionsidentifiedabove;asaresult,theymaynotapplytoyou.
