The RheoCap SoftwareThe unique project and job stream structure enables the userto customize the software from straight forward QualityControl tests - push a button and pick up the test report - tocustom tailored measurements. Different user levels guaran-tee a minimum of user errors and a maximum of repeatabilityplus data safety. Bagley and Weißenberg-Rabinowitsch datacorrection, data analysis and evaluation with rheological andmathematical models and the determination of elongation vis-cosity according to Cogswell are part of the package. For fur-ther evaluations a convenient data export to other softwareapplications is available. The recommended operating systemfor the RheoCap Software is Microsoft Windows XP.

Exchangeable Pistons and Barrels

The Rheoflixer is a high pressure capillary rheometer for the determination of the flow

behavior of polymers as a function of shear rate and temperature. The computer con-

trolled instrument covers a wide range of shear rates with a variety of measurement

dies. Rod dies, Slit dies and a special sensor for PVC gelation tests complete

the measuring capabilities of the RheoFlixer.

Priciple of the High-Pressure Capillary Rheometer

Dies and cylindersVarious dies are available to cover a wide shear rate range. The Rheoflixer can beused with a variety of rod and slit capillary dies and an elongation die. Rod capillarydies made out of wear resistant tungsten carbide are available with 0.5, 1 and 2 mmdiameter and 0.5 to 40 mm in length. The range of slit capillary dies range from0.5 to 2 mm in slit sizes.For different sample volumes three cylinders and pistons are available having 9.5,12 or 15 mm diameter. The easy exchange of cylinders and pistons allow a highuser flexibility.
