BLOW OUT PREVENTER(MANUAL TYPE)

PurposeTo enable well pressure to be isolated and released from the lubricator without closing wellborevalves.Blowout Preventers are designed to give positive protection against blow outs when operating withwireline in well services work, by providing a positive seal around wireline.

DescriptionThe main body in the shape of a cross has a vertical full bore section to allow movement of wirelinetools in and out of the wellbore.

The horizontal ends of the cross often referred to as ram housing contain rams, with inner and outerseals. These rams can be rotated in and out of the housing with handles fastened to threaded stemsfor closing and opening ram bodies.

An equalizing assembly is located on the side of the main body with a bleed off port on the oppositeside, and located 90 degrees from ram housings. By opening an allen wrench operated valve seat theequalizing assembly allows pressure to be returned to the lubricator from the wellbore with ramsclosed.BOP are fitted with compatible hand unions for installation with surface equipment. Wireline BOP’sseal and hold pressure from below only.

PurposeGives the ability to pump any type of fluid desired, typically used topump oil into wellbore directly below the stuffing box to lubricate theseals within.

LUBRICATORS

PurposeTo accommodate downhole wireline tool strings while rigging up, and duringwireline operations, as well as when entering the wellbore and returning tosurface.

DescriptionThe Lubricator is made of 7 components:1. Hand Union Female2. Lubricator Tube3. Ported Sub4. Hand Union Male5. Nut6. O-Ring7. O-RingThe lubricator is made up of sections of tubing material threaded on bothends to accept hand unions. Once they are made up with hand unions theyare known as lubricator joints, and come in 8 or 10 foot lengths.Standard lubricator sizes on slickline service units are 2.875 and 3.50 inchesOD (outside diameter). Lubricator sizes are also available up to 7” OD.Sour service or NACE spec. lubricator joints are machined from Sour servicestock material, where the upper and lower hand unions are machined as partof the lubricator joint or maybe made with sealed premium threadconnections.

An optional bleed sub may be incorporated into the lubricator assembly. Thisinvolves a ported .50” NPT sub between the lubricator tube and the bottomhand union.-

RISER – DUAL .5” NPT

PurposeGives the ability to either pump into / or bleed off wellbore pressure.

STUFFING BOX

PurposeControls the running of slickline into the lubricator and down the wellboreand contains any well pressure that may exist.

DescriptionThe sheave wheel is supported with bearings and spindle between twoarms.

The two arms are attached to the staff and held in place at the top with thewire guide when bolted into place. The staff mounts on top of the mainbody with an upper and lower bearing. This assembly is held in place withthe hydraulic packing adapter nut.

The packing and packing glands are contained in the body, all having a holein the center for the wire to pass through.

The stuffing box is attached to the top of the lubricator with a hand union.

TOOL CATCHERPurposeProvides a method of capturing the tool string in the event that the slickline / wireline is separated from therope socket / cable head during wireline operations where the tools may come into forceful contact withthe bottom ofstuffing box or packoff / control head assembly. (i.e.: crowning out).

The tool catcher also comes with a integral velocity check valve, meaning the in the case that the wireline isparted and travels through the stuffing box / control head, the wellbore is contained through the use of aone way checkvalve.

DescriptionDesigned to be install directly beneath a stuffing box / control head in lubricator string.

Hydraulically controlled so as to be manipulated remotely via a hand pump during wireline operations.

Capable of capturing up to and including 1.75” fishing necks.

Integral velocity check valve to prevent wellbore gases or fluids from escaping to the atmosphere in theevent that the slickline / wireline is pulled free of the stuffing box / control head during wireline operations.

DescriptionThe lower end of the swage connection is either threaded orflanged to fit the wellhead. The upper end of the swage iscompatible to the bottom hand union of the BOP.

Standard thread sizes of swage connections carried on slicklineunits are: 2 and 3 inch line pipe, 2 3/8, 2 7/8 and 3 1/2 inch EUE.
