ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Narmada College of Computer Application was started in the

year 1999. The MCA Programme at the college is approved by

AICTE, New Delhi. The college was earlier affiliated with Veer

Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), Surat and is now

affiliated with Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Ahmedabad. This is

one of the oldest colleges in South Gujarat region and is managed by

Narmada Education & Scientific Research Society, which is a trust promoted

by GNFC, Bharuch.

supervision of Dr. Anujkumar, Department of

Computer Science, Accurate Institute of

Management & Technology, Greater Noida from

CMJ University, Meghalaya

LINUX WORKSHOP – IIT BOMBAY

NCCA organized “Linux Workshop” in association with IIT

Bombay under Spoken tutorial project on 14th Sept 2012. Total 36

participants attended the workshop and 34 have successfully

cleared an exam and got certified from IIT Bombay.

NCCA)

i-BOT COMPITITION - GANDHINAGAR

NCCA Students wins i-Bot 2012 competition held by IEEE students’

branch of DA-IICT at Gandhinagar on 7th Oct. 2012.

IEEE students, branch of DA-IICT organized a Robotic competition

named i-Bot 2012 on 7th Oct. 2012. In this competition each team has

to make an autonomous robot that can traverse a path and specific

branches of it.

4. Arnab S. Bakshi (MCA, Semester: 1)

Our students won this competition & secured 1st place in this

competition by traversing path & branches successfully in least

time.

ZANKAR - 2012

Narmada College Parivar celebrated “Zankar – 2012” (Navratri

Celebration) on 16th Oct. 2012, Tuesday. Venue at Narmada

Education Campus, Zadeshwar, Bharuch and the timing was 5:30

P.M. to 8:30 P.M. All were cordially invited to participate in this

vibrating event.

Best player in male category and female category was awarded by

trophies and runner up was awarded by medals.

Our 2 students of semester: 5 won the competition. Best player in

female category was Hemali Panchal, awarded by trophy. And the

runner up in male category was Nirav Makwana, awarded by

medal.

VIVA CITY - SURAT

Viva city 2012 organized at Sarvajanik College of Engineering &

Technology at Surat. There were 5 events are listed as below:

1. CIdiots

2. Cyber Hunt

3. Debater

4. Poster Presentation

5. LAN Gaming

In two events, the students of NCCA took part.

1. CIdiots

In this competition our 10 students of semester: 1, NCCA were

took part.

2. LAN Gaming

In this competition, they have to play NFS game and 6 students of

semester: 1, NCCA were took part.

SPIRIT 2012 - SURAT

Students of NCCA participated at Sports Festival “SPIRIT 2012”

organized by Gujarat Technological University at Bhagvan

Mahavir College, Surat scheduled on 5th Oct. 2012. They played

under the captain ship of Hemang Chokshi (MCA Semester: 5)

against S. S. Agrawal Institute of Computer Science (MCA),

Navsari. Our 16 students took part in this competition.

BEST OUT OF WASTE COMPETITION

Best Out of waste competition was arranged in NCCA on 7th Sept.

2012 under the coordinator of student councilor Mr. Bhavesh A.

Patel (Assistant Professor, NCCA). The students of NCCA took

part in the competition. The students won this competition are as

follows:

BUILDING CREATIVITY & INNOVATION

IN COLLEGE LIFE BY MR. NITIN TAILOR

Mr. Nitin Tailor (M.Tech., IIIT-B) gave a good knowledge on “How

To Build Creativity And Innovation in the College Life?” on 20th

November 2012.

BISAG SEMINARS

NCCA conducts all the BISAG seminars scheduled by Gujarat

Technological University, Ahmedabad for the students.

On 20th Oct. 2012, Seminar was conducted on the Matrix

representation for the students of 1st Semester of MCA.

On 5th Nov. 2012, Seminar was conducted on Communication

Skills for the students of 1st Semester of MCA.

Another Seminar was also conducted on C Language for the

students of 1st Semester of MCA.
