Highlights of Socotra ten days Itinerary 4 days Trekking

Day 1: We welcome you at Socotra Airport .Socotra considered the Galapagos of the Indian Ocean. Drive along the coastal road to Hadibo

then have your lunch, afternoon excursion Ayahaft, explore the unique flora, see some of the unique birds & wonder around the natural cascade,

overnight at Adeeb's eco-lodge campsite.

Day2: Hajjher Mountain

Early in the morning we drive to the foot of Hajjher mountain with local cameleers, using camels to carry our equipment for camping the scenery is very good we trek along the mountain you will have the lunch under a

big tree, after lunch keep on trekking ntil you arrive to Dimalah the top of the mountain a lot of different variety of plants and birds, and high cliffs

in front of you from this top you will see the northern part of Socotra, Overnight camp in Dimalah.

Day3: Dihazhaz and Darho

After the breakfast enjoy the morning trekking down to the wadi of

Dihazhaz which is a small paradise where you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the unique flora, unique fauna & some unique bird spices of

Socotra, you will have the lunch among trees and streams of water, and you watch the camels, you will pass throughout some villages of Darho

Dinner and overnight near the village of Darho.

Day 4: Farmhin Mountain and Dixsam

When you wake up you will wash your face from a traditional well inside a garden of palm trees, this morning you will meet the car and you have

chance to ride the camel, after the breakfast you keep on trekking, this time you trek to Farmhin Mountain the largest forest of Dragons' bloo trees on Socotra. You enjoy the nice scenery, and then go down to Darhor

canyon to have your lunch with the driver. under a big ancient trees and you then enjoy swimming in the fresh water pool. The car drive you up the

mountain to Dixsam plateau, Dinner and overnight in Shebahon view point Day 5: Scand and Aomq

Early in the morning you get up enjoy the foggy weather and see Bedouin

are collecting their sheep, goats and cows for feeding them and milking, after the breakfast we transfer you to the start point where you meet the

local Bedouin guide who take you to Scand, trek along the Haggier Mountains up to the highest peak on the island which is called Scand, an area known for its very rich and diverse flora & fauna. Here is some of the

most breathtaking scenery in the forest of dragoon blood trees you will

have your picnic lunch and walking along the mountain to discover everything and you can see all the mountains around you and the

mountain you crossed with camel. Dinner and Overnight at Aomq Campsite

Day 6: Dihamri and Wadi Difarho

Dihamri This morning you have chance to swim in Indian Ocean water

after we drive to Dihamri marine protected area which is well-known for its coral reef via Wadi Difarho we will have the lunch thereafter we

continue our way to Dihamri where you make snorkeling in the sea the only place where you can see many different kinds of fishes. Dinner and overnight in Dihamri marine protected area.

Day7: Hoq Cave and Arher

After breakfast we drive you to explore Hoq Cave, a spectacular 2.5 Km of

stalactites and stalagmites is one of the biggest caves in Arabia, enjoy the beautiful scenery and unique experience of ancient history & gorgeous

rock formations small water pools and ancient writing. Trek around 4 hours, the lunch will be at the bottom of the mountain, then the driver will drive you to Arher beach where you can see the highest sand dunes on

Socotra it is a magnificent view with a fresh water streams goes from the mountain to the sea. You will have a chance to climb the dunes which are

around 250 meters high and having a bath in the hot water spring. Dinner and overnight at Arher Beach.

Day8: Homil and Erisl

First drive to Erisl beach the final beach of Socotra on east north. There

you visit fishery village and fishermen equipments on the coast. Swimming is possible on white sandy beach, after we hike up to Homhil protected area while you hike up you enjoy nice sceneries of plants and

landscape ,once you reach the top of mountain of Homhil you can relax to enjoy east north coast which looks marvelous, on your way to Homhil you

pass through various dragoon blood trees, the resin of which it collected by people for use and trade. You can swim in the natural swimming pool.Overnight at Homhil

Day9: Qalnsiya Detwah P A

We drive early morning to Qalansyia to look around this charming and

picturesque fishing town with its traditional houses and narrow alleyways. We then go to the protected area of Detwah lagoon, which is renowned for its spectacular landscape. Sting rays can be seen in the lagoon, so take

care when swimming. There is also a large array of sea birds to be seen at this location. Overnight at Detwah lagoon.

Day 10: Shu,ab Beach

We will take a boat ride to Shu’ab. Be sure to look out for Spinner Dolphins along

the way. Cormorants also frequent the area. Once at Shu’ab we will have lunch

and the afternoon is free to swim and enjoy this pristine beach setting, complete

with mangroves. In late afternoon we take the boat ride back to Qalansyia. Line

fishing also be possible from the boat. Overnight is at Socotra Tourist campsite.

Day11: Departure from Socotra After an early breakfast, we will transfer to Socotra airport to visit souvenir's

shop and visitor information centre before the short flight home.
