IntroductionSAP has delivered some exceptional tools to support the ESS and MSS HCM processes. SAP HR Renewal positions ESS and MSS processes on a common platform. But, as we install and implement the HR Renewal solutions, it is evident that they were intended for the typical desktop/laptop users. Since the majority of HCM actions are data intensive, it is reasonable to assume that most of these process are going to be initiated with a standard keyboard console like a laptop. But, once the data is entered, the most important factor for success is delivering the information to the correct approvers in a manner that they can easily access. The approval process needs to be system agnostic allowing a response from a Laptop, Tablet or PC. SAP Fiori provides that flexibility. Our vision is to speed the approval time for all the actions by combining the best of HR Renewal and Fiori.

Roles ◦ Employee initiates the Birth of Child process from Employee Self Service (ESS) role filling in the required fields.
◦ HR Administrator verifies the submitted data and then either approves or rejects the request.
Process◦ Enter SAP HCM Master Data for dependent [.i.e. info type 0021 (subtype 2 child)]
◦ Date of Birth
◦ First Name
◦ Last Name
◦ Gender
Follow-on Steps◦ Notify employee that data is updated and Benefit Election is Open
◦ Select Benefits -- After the Dependent is added, the Employee returns to ESS to select benefits.

Summary
This presentation is intended to be an example of what is possible. The screen shots are taken from a running SAP demonstration system. It is intended to show how ESS services can be integrated with MSS services. Any of your processes can be enabled for mobile access. While an employer can utilize this service as it is written, the intent of the presentation is to provide an example. Highstreet understands that every business has unique approval processes.
