HILL START OPERATION
INTRODUCTION TO HILLSTART
• Hill start usually happens on ramps where the truck is on breakdown or stop by any reason and need to drive off starting to pull up from the incline.• Hill start need a careful operator who is confidence with the task.• This is one of the high risk operation to perform

CORRECT WAY TO START
Before releasing the park brake engage wheel lock
Fully accelerate Pull directional lever from park to drive Release the wheel lock once you feel the
momentum Keep flat foot on the accelerator until full
traction is recovered
CORRECT STEPS OF HILL START
1. Engage wheel lock2. Accelerate fully3. Pull directional lever from park to drive4. Feel the momentum5. Release wheel lock brake6. If necessary press the override switch and hold
•Equal to zero roll back
Engage Brake Lock
Press the override switch
Fully accelerate
Disengage Brake Lock
INCORRECT WAY TO START
NOTE: Do not pull the directional lever straight from park to drive without wheel lock engaged, this will lower the revs and cause the machine to roll back.
