Ok ok ok. Whoa. Ok ok, where to start from? Man this is huge. All these feelings rushing through(and messing with) your head and rocking your world so badly. Yeah, !m talking about " MYMfinale. And am #roud to say, no wait, am glad could watch that damned finale (by damned mean waiting for it was so e$cruciating) to ha%e this sudden reaction& 'Yes, that!s what ha%e beendreaming all along .

t took * seasons, + - e#isodes before finally ed and /obin ended u# together. mean, what!s the big sur#rise? f you!re a " MYM fan and you!%e watched e%ery single e#isode and you alwayswere emotionally in%ol%ed, you should ha%e understood that all the way through. t was only amatter of time. You should only ha%e the #atience for that to become 'real . And by the way, wasn!tthere e%en any little #art of you wanting ed and /obin back together? f there wasn!t and as aconse0uence there isn!t, well, don!t know what to tell you, maybe you didn!t get all the hints in thee#isodes, or you didn!t consider them from the right #ers#ecti%e.

Marshall saying 'not yet to 1ily at the time of #aying u# his bet (e%en though he did later on, butthat!s not the #oint), ed founding the locket, or if may correct myself, the locket always beingalong with him, /obin tricking ed about the story of how 2arney found the locket and then telling

ed maybe she should ha%e ended u# marrying him. And we know for sure that he 3ust comfortedher because that!s how ed does and how he has always done "e doesn!t want to screw things u#

3ust because he has feelings he can!t switch off, no matter how strong they are.

agree there might be some holes in the #lot, but remind you the title of the series is '"ow metyour mother , not '"ow met your mother, married her, had a lifelong lo%e and so on . t!s 3usthow they met (and how e%ery character of the series met her, so..), but think this isn!t any closer tothe #oint of the series. As we ha%e e$#erienced, the characters of " MYM grow and change all o%er the years4 so if the characters change, as normal #eo#le do, why can!t the finale change, com#aredto our e$#ectations?

hey went so damn fast on the 'dead mother and 'back with /obin + years later things. 5otmentioning 2arney and /obin getting di%orced. his might be fair com#aring these e%ents to othere%ents in the series, but think we shouldn!t 3udge whether a finale is blowing u# our minds orcom#letely letting us down by considering the time the e%ents took to get to it. Or according tosomeone should say the 'main e%ents, but on which basis could we decide what are the maine%ents? And on which basis can we calculate the e$act start or end of a feeling in the series?

What if the '"ow met your mother was only an e$cuse for a com#lete new de%elo#ment of the #lot? 6%en from the right beginning? What if was 2arney!s 'how met your mother that ste##ed in

and com#letely twisted the straight line we were thinking the #lot shoud follow fore%er?

Again, you may not reali7e it, but there are many e%ents in the series that some #eo#le might wantto last more e#isodes or 3ust to be e$#lained better or to know more about them. Marshall and 1ilymo%ing to the house where the a#artment was crooked, 2arney!s life as a dad and the relationshi#

between him and his daughter, 1ily!s life in 8an 9rancisco, :ames and om back together (not thatwe knew that much e%en when they were a solid cou#le at the beginning), Mickey and Marshall!smom, the truth about 2arney and ed!s mom.

8o why don!t we 3ust cherish this finale, with all the o#en interrogati%es it has left behind and en3oythe best moments of the series? 5o matter which of them are the best for us, the im#ortant thing is

to kee# them in our minds and thank for the ama7ing nine years they!%e been with us and willalways be, or if not always, at least for some time in the future.
