Hitler’s Final Solution

• The introduction of a new battle strategy, Blitzkrieg, brought German forces great success during the blitzkrieg campaigns in 1939-41.•This battle strategy was nothing compared the extermination plan Hitler would introduce known as “The Final Solution.” The final solution was driven by Nazi Ideology and by Hitler’s personal desire. The Rise of the Nazi Party

•Hitler wasted no time in his decision and killed Europe’s Jews while also exploiting the labor of those capable of working. Approximately one million Jews were killed in 1941 in the East and in one year the death toll soared to 27 million. There were no boundaries to the Nazi’s approach for killing the Jews. Mentally and physically handicapped were considered unworthy and were killed off. •One of the most extreme concentration camps was in Auschwitz where a quarter million Jews were gassed. Hitlers “Final Solution” was most successful between 1941 until the end of 1942, when Germany occupied approximately one third of the European land mass and ruled nearly half its inhabitants. Hitler regarded the Nazi Party’s leading men as key players in the monumental construction of the new Greater Germany. •The Nazi Party rise was due to national socialism. National socialisms potential contribution to the regional and continental peace depended in the first place upon its ability to force through ethnic separation.

Hitler’s Final Days•In response, the United Kingdom and France declared war against Germany, leading to the outbreak of World War II in Europe. While the Axis powers had occupied most of Europe, the reversal of the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union granted the Allies the upper hand from 1942 onwards. By 1945, Allied armies had invaded German-held Europe from all sides. •In the final days of the war, during the Battle of Berlin in 1945, Hitler married his long-time mistress Eva Braun and, to avoid capture by Soviet forces less than two days later, the two committed suicide on April 30, 1945.
