Being Healthy Hearing tests, hearing aids, vision adaptive equipment, and emergency dental care services are provided at no cost for financially eligible Holocaust survivors. Staying Connected Our groundbreaking Tablets and Technology: Alleviating Isolation in Holocaust Survivors program helps connect Holocaust survivors to the world, family, and friends via the internet, email and video chats. Jewish Family Service is dedicated to providing Holocaust survivors with culturally sensitive supportive services as well as person-centered, trauma-informed (PCTI) supportive services. PCTI care is a holistic approach to service provision that promotes the dignity, strength, and empowerment of individuals by incorporating knowledge about the role of trauma in their lives. For 13 years Jewish Family Service has been been a project with Action Reconciliation Service for Peace (ARSP). A volunteer from Germany joins us for a year to provide friendly visits, escort survivors to the doctor or shopping, and communicate with German and Austrian restitution authorities on behalf of individual survivors and their families.
