It became obvious why Catholics had built such beautiful cathedrals and churches throughout the

Memorial Day Prayer
God of power and mercy, you destroy
war and put down earthly pride. Banish violence from our midst and
wipe away our tears, that we may all
deserve to be called your sons and daughters. Keep in your mercy those
men and women who have died in the cause of freedom and bring them safely
into your kingdom of justice and peace.
We ask this though Jesus Christ our Lord. R/. Amen
If you have recently lost a loved one, the newly formed Bereave-ment Ministry Team would love to hear from you & help you through your grieving process. Please call the rectory at 815-538-6151 to let us know - we want you to know how much we care.

Summer Project
New cement will be poured for the sidewalks and
entrances in front of school and church. Current funds allow the asphalt in the alley way behind church and a par-
tial section of the parking lot to be removed and
replaced with cement. This is partially doable through Estate Donations, and the Annual Dueling Piano Fund-
raiser. Donations are welcomed towards the project. We hope to be able to complete the parking lot
in future years. Any questions contact the church office at
815-538-6151.
