We hope you have all had a safe and restful Christmas and would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year! We are happy to welcome the children back for the start of the new term, although in slightly different circumstances than normal. We would like to stress the importance of continuing with your home learning and engaging with all of the activities set on Seesaw. Home Learning: Children will receive their new spellings and times tables on a Monday and we will provide activities to help them learn these during the week. For when we return to school, we are also excited to announce the launch of our new school spelling initiative, ‘Bader Spelling Bee’. The children will compete in their classes to get the highest average score to be in with the chance to become ‘Royal Spelling Bee’ for that week! Congratulations to those children who have already reached the Sun for the first time in our reading initiative and some are even on track to reach it for the second time in the Spring Term! If your child is yet to reach the sun, please continue to read regularly at home. You can share your child’s reading record with us while we are learning from home and we can continue to update their Reading Rockets! Our Learning: This term, our geography topic will be Rainforests. We will be learning about this different environment and the animals that live there. Our class text is ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Class Dojo and Seesaw: Please continue to use class dojo regularly to keep up with any messages from school. You can also contact your child’s class teacher there, especially if you have any questions about home learning. We are continuing to use seesaw to upload our home learning, this includes daily activities, teaching videos and a story at the end of the day. If you need any logins, codes or further support, please do not hesitate to contact us.
