沙漠之屋出自于 Marmol Radziner Prefab。 它的优越地点把 San Jacinto 山峰和周围的山景尽收入眼帘。这块5英亩大的地位于加
利福尼亚州的沙漠温泉。这栋屋的结构有着许多有盖的户外活动区，占地约4000 平方英尺，是室内活动区的两倍。 它备有一个车棚， 让屋主泊车。它的建筑方式是根据LEED标准，采用环保概念。
沙漠之屋是特别为 Leo Marmol 和 Alisa Becket 夫妻而设计的。 这栋建筑包含四个房子模块和六个甲板模块。室内与户外的范围具协调性，同时延伸和连接到北翼。那里设有一间客房以及创作空间的工作室。它的布局犹如‘L’字，容纳着一个泳池和火坑。
模块有部分是在工厂里制造，然后运送到建屋的地点。预先组装好的有定制的木橱柜和抛光的混凝土地面。这些组合直接装在地基上，很快就能组装完成。由于这只是初期的设计模型，因此对Marmol Radziner Prefab 公司的预制家园系列的屋子的发展扮演着很重要的角色， 譬如，设计概念，制作过程和组装的环节或许有改善的空间。
