HOME RUN FOR CHELSEA Baseball Tournament EVENT OVERVIEW What: “Home Run for Chelsea” is an annual one-day baseball tournament to benefit the Chelsea’s Light Foundation. When: Sunday, May 22, 2011, 8:00am until 6:00pm. Where: Fields located in Northern San Diego County and beyond. Participation: 8U - 14U baseball teams from Southern California and beyond. Approximately 1,000 student athletes will play. Format: Participation format, 2 game guarantee. Teams are intrinsically rewarded with the knowledge they are involved in a cause greater than themselves. Registration: Cost is $275 per team. All baseballs provided by So Cal AAU Baseball. Teams register on-line at www.socalaaubaseball.com. Proceeds: 100% of the proceeds of “Home Run for Chelsea” tournament will benefit the Chelsea’s Light Foundation. Field space has been underwritten or donated, umpires are volunteers; snack-bar sales and merchandize profits go directly to CLF. Sponsorship or Vendors: Sponsorship opportunities are available. Chelsea King’s love of life spilled over into every aspect of her life. An avid cross country runner, a gifted student and musician, a loving daughter and sister, at 17 Chelsea was well on her way to realizing her dreams. Pursuing one of her passions, Chelsea went on a training run after school on the trails at Lake Hodges not far from her Poway, California home on February 25, 2010. Chelsea was the victim of a terrible crime and it is the mission of Chelsea’s Light Foundation to unite people who are passionate about protecting our children and inspiring positive change in their community.
