HOME SCHOOL AGREEMENT STATEMENT OF SHARED VALUES Our Values which are shared by all pupils, staff, Governors and stakeholders are guided by: Safety The safety and well-being of everyone within our school community is of paramount importance. We expect everyone to share in this commitment. Respect We are all equally important to our school and are shown respect. Bullying, racism or any type of discrimination is never tolerated. Communication We encourage open and honest discussions and always listen to each other. We recognise effective communication is vital for an outstanding school. Development We are all encouraged to develop to our full potential and encouraged to push ourselves to break barriers to learning. We want to be the best we can be; we learn from our mistakes and our successes. We share our learning. Honesty and Truthfulness Everyone is encouraged to demonstrate honesty and truthfulness without fear. We all have a voice to be heard. Acting Responsibly We understand that we are all responsible for our actions and their consequences. We keep promises and commitments made to others. Positive behaviour is encouraged and expected. Trust We are all empowered and trusted to act. All ideas are listened to and encouraged. Community Our school community works together to enhance our local community. We understand our reputation out of school is important and depends on our behaviour. Key British Values We will uphold and actively promote the key British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. Celebration We celebrate the successes of all. We embrace a “can do” approach and make everyone feel valued. We work together as a team. The House system is at the heart of our school community. Fun We take our work and learning seriously but we are serious about having fun, enjoying our responsibilities and balancing our life and work. By working together on these core values we can ensure we are “Achieving Excellence Together”. Agreement for Parents/Carers

To help my child at school I will:

1. Make sure that my child attends school regularly and on time.

2. Encourage high standards of behaviour and support the school’s code of conduct. 3. Send my child to school in full school uniform.

4. Make sure that my child is provided with the correct equipment for school.

5. Take an interest in my child’s school work, especially homework, and support the school’s Homework Policy.

6. Let the school know if there are any special circumstances likely to affect my child’s learning or behaviour.

7. Read letters from school and reply if necessary.

8. Attend progress evenings and discussions about my child’s progress.

9. Take family holidays during school holidays and not during term time.

10. Support the school in the implementation of the Code of Conduct, Rewards and Consequences Policy and Acceptable Usage Policy.

11. Encourage my child to play a full and active role in the life of their House and School.

I understand that my child may occasionally be photographed by staff as a record of celebration

and achievement. (Please supply a letter if you do not approve)

Agreement for Students

To help me do well at school, I will:

1. Attend school every day and on time.

2. Be on time for all lessons.

3. Keep to the school’s Code of Conduct and show respect for other people and property.

4. Wear school uniform correctly at all times including on the journey to and from school.

5. Challenge myself to meet and exceed my academic and social targets.

6. Bring the correct equipment to school each day.

7. Check the Frog learning environment daily for my homework.

8. Do my best with all classwork and homework, remembering to complete it and hand it in on time.

9. Let someone know in school if there is a reason why I am unable to keep up with schoolwork.

10. Make sure that letters from school are taken home, given to parents and that replies are brought back promptly.

11. Behave in a trustworthy way and be honest in my dealings with other people in the school.

12. Abide by the school's acceptable usage policy when using IT equipment and services.

Agreement for School

The School will:

1. Encourage good attendance and punctuality and reward these, but contact parents if problems arise.

2. Encourage high standards of behaviour, especially a respect for other people and property.

3. Keep parents informed about the standard of their child’s work, through the termly assessment system.

4. Keep parents informed about school activities through letters, notices and website.

5. Listen and respond to special concerns which affect students’ learning and behaviour.

6. Insist that correct school uniform is worn.

7. Tell students clearly what they need for lessons.

8. Provide a homework timetable and give a clear indication of what homework is expected.

9. Provide parents with an annual written report on their child’s progress and the targets set for improvement as well as an annual progress eveing meeting.

10. Offer a broad and balanced curriculum in line with national requirements.
