As of January 2016, all HonorSociety.org chapters are required to participate in the

Leadership, Values and Benefits Program (LVBP). Each month, the chapter board

members will train members on leadership skills and the values and benefits of

HonorSociety.org. The purpose of this program is to ensure that all members are

trained on leadership skills that will allow them to be great leaders both in the

classroom and in the workplace. This program ensures that HonorSociety.org

members are representing the core values of the society, and that they are informed

and able to take part in all of the benefits that HonorSociety.org promises its

members.

Email EtiquetteAlways use proper greetings, even when emailing peersex. Hello Professor Smith, | Hi Dr. Jones, | Hi Ms. Woods, | Hi Sarah,When referring to HonorSociety.org, always write it out in its entirety"HonorSociety.org"ex. Avoid using "honor society" or "honor society org"Proofread your email because spellcheck doesn't always catch everythingincluding situations like "there and their"When emailing professors, use your university email. They may not open anemail that does not look like it's coming from the university or a studentWhen replying back to an email, always hit reply. Do not start a new emailchain if it is regarding the same topic. This helps keep the emails organized foryou and the senderWhen replying and others are cc'd on the original email, be sure to reply all sothat they do not get dropped off the email. Always double check that you didnot leave someone off.


Email EtiquetteUse subject lines to describe what is in the email. A descriptive subject linehelps the recipient keep their emails organized and easy to find. Double check for attachments. If you have attached a document to the email,double check that it uploaded properly before sending to prevent having to re-send the email.Avoid using emoticons and smileys. Save them for text messaging.Always include a signature that includes your full name.

This year's HonorSociety.org trip will be held in December in Los Angeles, CA. Allmembers are invited to join. Space is limited, but guaranteed if you register inSeptember.

Join HonorSociety.orgmembers from around the nation this December in Los Angeles, California for 5days of fun, networking, and memorable experiences. The trip is geared towardsambitious and adventurous individuals who want to make the most of theirholiday break!

$250 MonthlyWriting Challenge

September 2016

Are you interested in gaining writing experience and building your professionalportfolio? HonorSociety.org is looking for HonorSociety.org members who would loveto write for the e-magazine, Elevate. Requirements include 3 monthly articles permonth on topics that benefit members including career advice, study abroad tips, andeducation.

Writers are encouraged to apply for the monthly writing challenge where they areeligible to receive a $250 scholarship.
