Current opportunities for forest research and preparations for the upcoming programming

period (2018-2020)

Forest research in FP7 (2017-2013):

- 270 relevant projects with a total EC contribution ca. EUR 500 million (ca. 10% FP7 budget), of which 29 projects worth ca. EUR 100 million in KBBE (Knowledge-based Bioeconomy)

- COST Domain FPS (Forests, their Products and Services): 25 FP7-funded actions covering areas such as tree health/biology, wood technology/products, forest policy & governance, etc. still ongoing

- Projects developed under the transnational calls funded by Member States and supported through coordination actions, e.g. FP6-FP7 WoodWisdom ERANET+
