Horizontal GunBarrel

Vertical gun barrel tanks, standard in the industry for the last century, are proving to be inevitably inefficient. Solids buildup continually leads to poor oil/water separation, and unplanned downtime. That’s why we’ve introduced a change in direction.

Our Horizontal Gun Barrel’s orientation results in a significant increase in recovered oil volume — giving you more profitability. Combined with our unique Tore™ Online Vessel Desanding (OVD) technology, the vessel provides greater efficiencies and reduced maintenance costs.

Change your direction. Recover more oil.

How it WorksSaltwater is introduced into the Horizontal Gun Barrel where two distribution baffles spread the fluid across the vessel into the primary separation section.

Oil and water separate via gravity, and solids settle and accumulate on the bottom of the separator.

Dry, pipeline grade oil is discharged to an oil storage tank. Storage tanks are skimmed back to the horizontal gun barrel with the EZSkim™ process eliminating water contamination of the oil tanks.

The sand removal process incorporates our proprietary

Tore Online Vessel Desanding (OVD) technology which eliminates tank cleanouts. The horizontal gunbarrel replaces offload/desand tanks, transfer pumps, and conventional vertical gunbarrels. A single HGB can handle up to 20,000 BPD of saltwater.

Features• Online solids removal• Automated oil discharge• Multi-level sample ports

Benefits• Recover more oil• Reduce facility footprint and

capital cost• Eliminate tank cleanouts
