Christine Halliday Senior Ambassador

I'd like to thank my sponsor, Saugeen Credit Union, for allowing me to be able to have this opportunity. I would also like to thank the Agricultural Society for allowing me to represent Chesley in this way. This has been the experience of a lifetime and the memories I have will stay with me forever. Meeting all the other agricultural representatives from all over Ontario and sharing in experiences with them will hold a special place in my heart for years to come. The time I spent with Taylor and Lily was great; both of you are amazing girls. Taylor, you are such a beautiful young woman and I hope you are able to accomplish all your goals in life. Lily, you are such a sweetheart! Keep smiling that beautiful smile! I encourage anyone with an interest in agriculture or representing our small town to take part in this amazing experience; it is an opportunity of a lifetime. This is more than a beauty pageant; it's an experience to educate, represent and have a lot of fun. Thank you for my turn to carry this title.

Taylor Legge Junior Ambassador

I was so excited to be selected as Junior Ambassador for 2013-2014 year representing the Chesley Ag. Society. I loved attending the Spring and Fall District 10 meetings, meeting Jr. Ambassadors from other towns, and having fun. As Jr. Ambassador I rode on the Christmas Parade float and attended Agri-Fair and I'm looking forward to attending any local agricultural events in my sash and tiara this summer. When I'm out in my sash and tiara people always talk to me about farming and I'm proud to be an AG-vocate for Chesley and agriculture. I would like to thank the Chesley Ag. Society for giving me this opportunity and Bev Westover, Catherine McKay and Marion McAllister for organizing and running the competition in Chesley. A big thank you to Roberts Farm Equipment for sponsoring me and encouraging youth to get involved in agriculture. I've had an amazing year and I hope that lots of young people consider entering this year's competition. You'll love it!

Lily Merrifield Tiny Tot Ambassador

The Chesley Fair is coming soon and it's going to be great again this year! I was honoured this year to be the Tiny Tot Ambassador for Chesley. I was able to see the many things that the Agricultural Society does, as well as its many volunteers. There are so many ways to be a part of the fair. You can enter your arts, crafts and vegetables, pick up some winning pie, visit a livestock show, enjoy some time with friends and family, or come have fun in the kids’ zone! As Tiny Tot Ambassador, I was able to get involved in many community events and it helped build my self confidence. I enjoyed helping make cotton candy as well as blow up and hand out balloons at the fair. I helped give out winning fair prize money at Kinghurst, I was able to be a part of the jamboree in the Fall and had a great time being a part of the Santa Claus parade. I look forward to helping out at the fair again this year. I really enjoyed my time as Tiny Tot Ambassador and getting to know the two other Chesley Ambassadors. I had a lot of fun and really enjoyed getting involved in the fair! Thank you to all the Sponsors and Ag Society members for all of the hard word and extra time that you put in to making the Chesley fair a success! This was a wonderful opportunity and I loved every minute of it! Lily Merrifield, 2013-2014 Tiny Tot Ambassador 2013 Contestants Eithan Alpaugh & Loralei Jacklin
