Learning activitiesScenario:
It is Monday afternoon and you receive a call advising you that a group booking of 50 rooms, arriving tomorrow for 1 night, has been taken (Check-out on Wednesday) . How do you deal with the unexpected rise in occupancy on Wednesday?
Option 1:You leave your staff roster as it is and decide to deal with the situation come Wednesday morning
Option 2:You call your contract cleaning/labour agency to send extra agency staff to clean all additional group departure rooms Option 3:You ask all Room Attendants (FT and PPT) scheduled to be OFF on Wednesday to swop their day OFF and come to work instead
Hospitalit-e © Financial Management for Housekeeping Managers
Option 1The agency can cover all rooms
Scenario:
You have decided to call your contract cleaning/labour agency to send extra agency staff to clean all additional group departure rooms
Option 2The agency can send some additional staff covering 30 rooms and you decide to cover the remaining rooms with overtime
Hospitalit-e © Financial Management for Housekeeping Managers
Option 1This is a very expensive labour cost. Try again.
Scenario:
You have decided to use agency staff to cover 30 rooms and cover the remaining rooms with overtime.

"Need to be able to go back to presentations from the activities which follow“
