    M. Ryan Center, URI teams have posted an 92-12 (.883) record its rst home game of the season. Last year, Rhody picked up a 92-67 win over Brown in last years home opener on Nov. 16, 2010.

    Todays game marks the season of four regular season games versus opponents from the CAA The Runnin Rams dropped a 92-90 overtime decision at George Mason to start the season. Rhody play at Georgia State on Dec. 10 and matchup against James Madison at the UCF Holiday Classic in Orlando Rhode Island is 9-2 against CAA teams since the league was formed in 1985. Last year, URI was 2-0 versus CAA teams, beating Drexel, 74-68 (Nov. 24) and Northeastern, 79-67 (Dec. 8) Rhode Islands football team currently competes in the CAA Football League

    Orion Outerbridge registered his rst double-double of the season - and second of his career - with 24 points an10 rebounds. Both totals were career highs.

    The 6-9 senior forward also connected on 4-of-9 from the perimeter - his second game with four or more treys. Some of Rhodys reserves saw their most signicant action of the season. TJ Buchanan scored nine points an

    dished out three assists in 24 minutes of action. Rayvon Harris added four points, three boards and three assists in15 minutes. Levan Shengelia chipped in with eight points and two rebounds in 16 minutes. In total, Rhody got 21points from its bench.

    The turnover bug bit Rhody again, as the Rams committed 18 turnovers. 15 of the 18 came in the rst half. Nebraska

    capitalized, scoring 27 points o of Rhody mishaps.

    Even after a season-low 63 points last time out at Nebraska, Rhode Island ranks among the top scoring teams in thcountry, ranking 41st nationally in points per game (81.0). Iona leads the country at 94.3 ppg.

    Jonathan Holton ranks fourth among all freshmen nationally in rebounding, pulling down 9.0 boards per game Mike Powell is 21st among all frosh in assists (3.7). Rhodys newcomers account for 28% of the teams scoring, 40% of rebounding, and 67% of assist totals.

    JAmAL wILSON NAmED ATLANTIc 10 pLAyER OF THE wEEK

    After his 38-point performance at George Mason on Nov. 11, Wilson earned his rst career A-10 honor on Nov. 14. Senior guard was 13-22 from the oor and 11-12 from the foul line, while also grabbing seven boards. Wilsons 38-point game is the second highest single-game scoring total in the nation, as of Nov. 23.

    Senior Jamal Wilson poured in a career-high 38 points (13-22 FG; 11-12 FT) at George Mason on Nov. 11. Wilson had nine in the rst half, 20 in the second half, and nine in the overtime period. He bested his previous career-high of 14 points - set twice. It took Wilson, who missed the rst 14 games of the 2010-11 season with a broken foot, 10 games to register 3

    points last year. It was the highest point total by a Rhode Island player since Zach Marbury had 38 vs. La Salle on Jan. 27, 2001.

    Rhodys ve-player freshman class had its regular season debut on Nov. 11 at George Mason. Kevin McNamara of the Providence Journalhas dubbed them the Frantic Five due to the Runnin Rams uptempo

    style of play Jonathan Holton and Mike Powell each cracked the starting lineup, while TJ Buchanan, Rayvon Harris, and Dominiqu

    McKoy all saw action o the bench. Powell became the rst true freshman to start for the Rams as a pure point guard since Tyson Wheeler in 1994-95 Holtons 14 boards tied the highest rebounding total in a URI debut since Lamar Odom had 14 vs. TCU (Nov. 9, 1998 Additionally, Holton and Odom are the only two Rhody players to record a double-double in points and rebounds in

    their Rhody debuts. Holton had 12 points and 14 boards; Odom 19 points and 14 rebounds. The last time Rhody had two freshmen in its starting lineup was Feb. 23, 2005 when Parfait Bitee and Will Danielwere among the rst ve at UMass.

    RHODy EmBARKS ON cHALLENGING NON-cONFERENcE ScHEDuLE

    Rhody s six opponents in the month of November - Mason, Texas, Nebraska, Hofstra, Boston Univ., and ClevelandState - combined for 143 wins a season ago and six postseason appearances (3 NCAA, 2 NIT, 1 CBI)

    Nine of the 15 teams the Runnin Rams will face in the non-conference slate won 21 or more games 10 of the 15 made postseason appearances (3 NCAA, 4 NIT, 3 CBI). The average RPI (2010-11 nal) for URIs non-conference opponents is 109.8. Nine of Rhodys foes were among th

    Rhode Island will make a record 23 regular season television appearances - including all 15 home games - durinthe 2011-12 season.

    It is the most comprehensive television slate in program history and ranks second behind Xavier for the most TVgames in the Atlantic 10 this year.

    Rhode Island was picked to nish 10th among the 14 teams in the Atlantic 10 Conference, according to the leaguesannual preseason poll. The poll, voted on by A-10 head coaches and media, was released during the conferenceannual Media Day conference on October 13. Xavier tops the poll, followed by Temple, Saint Louis, St. Bonaventureand Richmond.

    20 yEARS IN THE A-10 FOR BARON

    Head coach Jim Baron ranks second on Rhode Islands all-time wins list with 177.
