While you're bookmarking sites, add http://www.tasks.hotosm.org/ - don't worry, we'll explain it when you get to us,

There will be a lot of people at the mapathon, all sharing the same wifi - do your updates on the laptop before you get to us - no downloading films either, thanks!)

If you know you're going to want to use JOSM (ignore this bit if you don't know what we're talking about - we'll explain, honest!!), then download it & set up for your laptop - http://josm.openstreetmap.de/

When you arriveWe've found that it's best to group people according to their operating systems so you can help each other - look out for labels on the table for your system, and find a seat.

Have a look at the bits of paper we've put on the tables

Fire up your laptop & connect it to the wifi - there should be signs with the name & password displayed (It would be really good if the systems didn't 'hang' when we start because everyone's laptop wants to sync! - get it done early please.)

Have a chat & chill. There's no rocket science involved so you might as well enjoy the session.
