HUMAN CARE The Housekeeping Department Is responsible for providing efficient and excellent service with regards to cleanliness, orderliness and sanitation of the entire public areas, guestrooms of the hotel. We also provide assistance to the guests and hotel patrons alike whenever it is possible. It is headed by the executive housekeeper. Types of Housekeeping Domestic – refers to housekeeping maintenance in a house Institutional – applies to commercial lodging establishment like: Hotels Resorts Inns Basic Laundry Operation Flush Break Main Wash/Suds Carry Over/Suds Intermediate Rinse Bleach Rinse Sour Soft Extract Housekeeping Services Valet – in charge of the car of the guest and brings the car in the hotel garage Doorman – welcomes the guests as the comes by the hotel Lobby man – assists the guests as they passed by the lobby area, cares and maintains the lobby area Receptionist – receive the as they entered the hotel and assist the guest by leading them to where they intend to be served Front Desk Officer – discuss the tariff amenities, policies and make promotion of the hotel Bellboy – bring luggage from the reception lobby area in the room. Room boy/Chambermaid – receives the guests in the Room open and operate appliances Do housekeeping Change linens Provide supplies Butler – took care of the personal needs of the male guests Powder girl/Powder Lady – took care of the personal needs of the female guests such as arranging clothes and dress in dressing and bathing Laundryman – in charge of the laundry of clothes, uniforms, linens, bed sheets, curtain and guest formal dresses see to it the guests clothes are properly.
