Recipe  for  Faculty  Success

•  Training  –  2  teachers  per  department  •  Setup  student  account  for  each  teacher

–  No  penalKes  –  Everyone  is  learning  together!

•  Gradually  incorporate  ExamSop  into  curriculum.  –  By  final  exam  Kme,  it’s  all  the  students  know.

if ( n == 1){return 3;

elsereturn 3 * mystery(n-1);

}

Ready,  Set,  Download…

•  March  15  –  all  students  download  SofTest  •  Content  filter  and  firewall  couldn’t  handle  traffic  –  outdated  and  misconfigured

•  New  content  and  firewall  5  days  before  senior  exams

Senior  Final  Exams  –  Old  Way

•  Administered  over  4  days  aper  seniors  finish  classes  •  Exams  taken  by  subject

•  No  lost  exams  •  No  shenanigans

•  Repost  same  test  – Different  download  password  (if  had  one)  –  forces  student  to  download  in  person  immediately  before  test

– Different  assessment  password  – Post  in  makeup  folder?

•  Concern  – Absent  student  gets  assessment  password  and  views  test

– Clock  did  not  adjust  when  resumed  and  not  prompted  for  resume  code

Underclassman  Exams  –  Old  Way

•  560  students  •  Scheduling

– Half  of  2  different  classes  per  room  – Assigned  proctor

•  First  day  of  exams  –  English,  Second  day  –  Math,  etc.  •  Envelopes  •  Scrap  •  Essay  paper  •  Lost  exams  •  Makeups  –  get  copy  of  test,  when  scheduled?

Underclassman  Exams  –  New  Way

•  Exams  by  period  •  One  exam  per  day;  one  day  2  exams  •  Class  has  no  test  =  day  off  •  Tech  support  table  centrally  located  •  No  major  issues
