How did you attract The audience?

Props

The props in the opening sequence will also attract a wide range of audiences

Iphone The iphone shows that the characters are middle class and will attract people in the middle class audience as they can relate to this. Also it will attract the audience because it shows what time period our film will take place in. From our primary research we found out that our target audience like to watch current films, therefore, it will attract our audience. Also by using this high technology it shows that in the rest of the film, we will have more of this, and our audience will what that feature in our film, thus attracting our audience.

The Bracelet The bracelet (Pandora ) because most females of our target audience will own one of these, because they have become very popular, this means that people will be able to see how normal this person is which will make the man more interesting and attract the audience.

Gun The gun is a genre signifier and consequently, will attract the audience because it means that there will be violence and action involved, one of the main reasons that they are coming to see this is because of the genre Action/Thriller and violence is something that they want to see.

Family pictures

Family pictures will attract our audience because, again most our audiences age group will have families so the pictures on the stairs will show that they are just a normal family, and its something that they have, this will make the audience more attracted because it will make them feel like that this could happen to them as well because it seems so normal, therefore, taking them out of there normal life making it more exciting for them.

Setting

The House

The main setting of the opening is in Megan’s house, which is used to show the wealth of the characters families, which represents the middle class making it more relatable, and help them feel like they are involved with the movie.

Interrogation roomThe interrogation setting will attracted the audience because this is something that most action/thriller movies have, which means that they will be more enticed with the film because it is something that they are used to. Also it must be something that they enjoy watching because most action/thriller films use them.

Costume

The clothes being worm though out are all relatable, which means that they do not stick out from the crowd.

Megan’s Megan’s costume is a running outfit, which attracts the audience because it shows that she is just one of them. Also making her character seem more believable, which that audience will like because it makes the film more interesting.

The men Both men involved within the opening are wearing suits, and most of our target audience will wear this type of dress to work, which will attract them because it will make them think that they could have people like them around them at work, which will make their job just a little bit more interesting, Therefore, they are more likely to enjoy the film.

The spy Lastly the female spy in the interrogation scene, what she is wearing is in fashion this season. This will make the audience more attract the our film because females in our target audience will be the type to like clothes and fashion so they will like what she is wearing, which means that they will be more interested in the film.

Sound

The sound will attract the audience because it’s very cliché, which means they will like it because all the action/thriller films include this, which must mean that the target audience must like it. But also it makes our film distinctive and memorable for the audience

Editing

This will attract the audience because our editing has a mixture of different cuts which makes it unpredictable, this is something that they will find entertaining, because our audience will not want a film where you can predict what is going to happen, and what way it will happen. Also we have some slick and clean cuts that will attract them because its a feature of a film that they want to see within. We know this because of our primary research on our target audience.

Actors

The girls The way that we attract the audience with the female actors, was by having them the same age as our target audience 16-25. This will attract the audience because it makes the movie relatable. Also by having them at this age, will let the younger age group of our audience idealise them, and as a result will make them want to watch our movie.

The men The males in our core audience will want to watch our film, because of the male actors. Our audience do not want to see a man being a wimp, they want to see him being dominate and in control. This is what we include in our film, hence they will be attracted to see it.
