Hormone comes from the Greek word “to stir up”
List Examples of how Hormones can “stir up” ones life.
Pituitary gland in brain signals for a girl’s ovaries or boy’s testes to begin producing sex hormones.
REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM
Ovaries produce eggs and the hormones produce estrogen and progesterone.
Testes produce sperm and the hormone testosterone.

Ovulation in girls and Sperm production in boys signal REPRODUCTIVE MATURITY-The ability to produce children.
