• What is the purpose in this post?• To inform your members (updates, news)
• To advertise (conferences, events, items your society is selling, CEU opportunities)
• To boost traffic on your page (reaching out to people who do not follow your page, e.g., nonmembers)
Three Questions continued

post, but you post about menopause and signing up for Medicare, you might alienate the intended age group.

How toSchedule a
Post
A hashtag is a hyperlink.
If you use #medicalassistantin your post, all of your followers will be able to click on that hashtag and see all posts that used the same hashtag on Facebook.
It is the same on Instagram and Twitter.
You can also use #mgmaor #pahcom to reach more people if your state society attends your local MGMA and/or PAHCOM Meetings.
Anyone that clicks on the MGMA or PAHCOM hashtags can see that you are attending as well and it might increase traffic at your table.
If your state society is wanting to reach out to more students this is a good way to do it.
Email all of your program directors and ask for their graduates’ group picture.
This is a good way to help the students feel wanted and feel important in your state society, and it might entice them to start coming to meetings.
