How to Become an Uber Driver!

Are you wondering what you need to do to become an uber driver?

become an uber driver, than just an application form without any information. Note-this guide

the requirements needed for the non commercial services (uberX, uberXL, Uber Plus, and Uber

As an overview, these are the key things you need to become an uber driver (We go into more

details after this list):

1. A scan-able copy of your driver’s license

Use jpg format, in my experience there are issues using a PDF upload. That will

delay your application.

You should have had this license for at least 1 year

2. A scan-able copy of your car registration (your name doesn’t need to be on it)

Your car needs to be registered for the state which you are registering

3. A scan-able copy of your personal car insurance (your name must be on it)

4. A social security number (for US uber drivers)

5. You must be 21 years old

6. You need to have an approved uber vehicle. Typically any car not older than 10 years

old. So a 2005 model or newer should work for most cities and countries.

7. You need to pass a background check and a driving history check (if available for the

jurisdiction which you want to be an uber driver for). For countries where there are no

background checks (i.e. India), a psychometrics test is used instead to determine your

propensity for undesirable behavior.

Once you have met all the requirements above, you are on your way to becoming an uber driver.

Now, these are the next steps you need to follow –

a) Go to the uber sign up page (use our link to get extra cash deposited into your account

after your first 20 trips) http://www.uberkit.net/signup.

b) Fill out all the information requested.

Ensure that you enter your first name and last name, as it is on your driver’s

license so your application is not held up.

Enter your phone number (preferably the Smartphone you intend to use for

driving with uber)

Enter an easy to remember password, you need this on a daily basis to drive with

uber.

Enter the city which you will be driving in.

In the invite code field – ensure that our invite code is present to get an extra cash

bonus when you signup. (If you used our signup link, you should be fine:

How did you hear about us, enter “Other” or whichever option is relevant.

c) Click Next

d) Enter your information

Name, Social Security Number (for US residents), date of birth and address

e) Next, upload your driver’s license (JPG format preferably)

f) Next, upload a copy of your car registration (JPG format preferably)

g) Next, upload a copy of your personal car insurance (JPG format preferably)

h) Wait for your criminal background check and driving history check to be completed.

(You should get a copy of your criminal background check and driving history check via

email). – This step should take a couple of days. Note - For countries where there are no

background checks (i.e. India), a psychometrics test is used instead to determine your

propensity for undesirable behavior.

Note – the entire process should take between 1 to 2 weeks, if you upload the right

documents, and in the right format. You should now be on your way to making extra income and

becoming an uber driver.

Also note, you will not be able to log on to the driver’s app, until you are approved.
