Honey
•Sweeter than sugar, get honey that’s been organically and locally produced to reap the full benefits.
Maple Syrup
•Already a common bottle in many people’s cupboards, maple syrup can be used in place of sugar in most cakes but because it’s liquid you’ll need to reduce other liquids by about a quarter.
Fruit Juice
•Fruit is a great source of natural sugar, and comes in a range of strengths and flavors. While we wouldn’t recommend adding orange juice to your tea or coffee, juices are great for adding sweetness to cakes and cookies.

Like Any Addiction, It Can Be Cured With A
Few LIFESTYLE Changes
Aiding Your Rehabilitation
It takes time and there's a lot of resources out there to help. Here's a few more tips which will help on your road to recovery:
Treat yourself like you’re in detox.
• The first week of sugar abstinence is hard, when the cravings are at their most powerful. Be kind to yourself: this is not the time to tackle a large project, to implement lots of changes, or to work overtime.
Create a supportive environment.
• For the first month after I gave up sugar, I asked my family to hide the few sweet foods we had in the house so that I wouldn’t seek them out and eat them. Avoid going out to sweet shops, walking past bakeries or anything similar.
Try Once And Fail? Try AGAIN.
• You don’t have to wait until the next morning, or succumb to the thinking that says, “I’ve blown it; I might as well have some brownies to go with it,” when you slip up and eat sugar. Giving up sugar is hard.
Forgive yourself.
• Don't blame you or anyone else for the sugar addiction. Releasing that shame was like lifting an enormous weight off your psyche. We’re all imperfect. We all cope with life in messy ways.
