Step 1 — Getting the Cura profiles

WARNING: Current profiles weretested on the Cura 3.5.1 and maynot work on the previous versionsas there are new config filesintroduced.

The following guide will help youimport and activate custom profilestweaked by Josef Prusa for yourOriginal Prusa i3 printer.

This guide is valid both forMicrosoft Windows and ApplemacOS. There are some smalldifferences in the setup, payattention to the instructions ;)

Important: latest profiles includePLA, ABS and PETG. Othermaterials are being tested.

Original Prusa i3 MK2/S and MK2.5settings: mk2s_mk25_cura_profiles

Original Prusa i3 MK3 settings:mk3_cura_profiles

Step 2 — What is inside the package?

The package includes severalsubfolders, which must be imported(or copied) into the Cura:

Folder 01_Cura_printer_definitonsincludes profiles for the printers withdimensions, speeds and otherparameters.

Folder 02_Cura_printer_extrudersadditional parameters for the printer, specifically for the extruderproperties (new in Cura 3.5.1).

Folder 03_Cura_platforms includesplatforms (heatbeds), which are justfor the visual effect, though it is goodto know, where your object will beprinted on the heatbed.

Folder04_Cura_layerheight_profilesincludes settings for various layerheights (print quality).

Folder 05_Cura_Prusa_materialsincludes materials, which should beimported because default Curamaterial values differ from what isrecommended for Prusa filaments.

File Readme.txt summariseschanges to this package. No need touse it, unless you are curious ;)
