How to increase your organic links
The best way to learn affiliate marketing is by… practicing affiliate marketing! Since Google introduced
its Panda algorithm a while ago, the face of the internet has changed forever. (Read all about Google
Panda in this article). There are plenty of websites that comply with Google’s rules and they produce
quality content day after day. As an affiliate, you want to get your content noticed and at the top of the
list. Here’s how you can earn organic links for your affiliate site!
Link to relevant blogs
One of the best ways to earn organic links is by linking to other relevant blogs! Learn affiliate marketing
the right way by recognizing your peers and sending them a shout out via your affiliate site. Don’t aim at
the big, brand sites, instead go for the small blogs. Send out an email to the owner of the site, informing
them that you liked their content and you linked them. Let them know that they might be interested in
your commentary on their content. Worst case scenario: you’ll be ignored! It could be the beginning of a
fructuous partnership.
Give credit
Showing gratitude is always appreciated. Another great way to learn affiliate marketing techniques is by
rewarding the sites that link you. Do a regular link check and look into the new links you find. Reward
that site by giving it a 1-for-1 exchange of value, or, in other words, link per link.
Quality guest posts
Although guest blogging is seen as a practice that is to be avoided, due to the fact that Google is not too
keen about it, this can still earn you quality organic links. If you write quality guest posts for other blogs,
without being paid for it, you can earn the links you want. Still, it is advised to do this only if you’re
asked to do it. The best thing about guest posting is that you get your name attached to valuable
content on blogs or sites that aren’t yours. You also get an implied link that Google might put weight on
in coming algorithmic updates. You can also get the blogs to link you in other respects. A pretty
awesome way to earn organic links and learn affiliate marketing, right?!
Trackbacks/Pingbacks
These are part of a system WordPress tried to create, designed to automatically create links between
blogs. While the basic idea is great, the reality is that these are very easy to abuse. If you send a
pingback, you can get a free link. In many cases, the other site doesn’t even know the pingback exists!
The trackbacks and pingbacks can still be useful, but solely if you use them in a rightful manner, you
approve them manually and you use them sparingly.
In conclusion
Like we said in the beginning of this article, the best way to learn affiliate marketing is by practicing
affiliate marketing! If you start doing some of the tricks described above, you should have no trouble
earning several links per blog post in no time!
