How to Install APK and ExpansionFiles in your Android device.

Android recently has introduced a new concept for Applications having huge size due to the Audio / Video Content.

Now resources are kept separately as “.obb” file known as “Expansion” files, along with the “APK” files.

Due to this, the App owner who sometime does not happen to be so technical, faces problem in installing the Application for testing, while in development.

There are few simple steps need to be followed in order to install the app in the following slide.

Installing APK and Expansion files in device.

Step 1. Install the APK in your device.

Step 2. Download the expansion file on your device.

Step 3. Go to File Manager -> Select Phone Memory -> Select directory namely "Android" -> Select directory namely "obb" -> Create a child directory namely <Your Application package name e.g. com.example.app>

Step 4. Once directory created, copy the expansion file in this newly created directory

Step 5. Once copied successfully, go back to Device Dashboard and Start the app.
