How to Install Storm VMS Step 1:

In order to install Storm VMS to your computer, you will need to go to our website: www.inaxsys.com and click on:

Support → Download → Software Download

Step 2:

Scroll down to Storm VMS and click on the Microsoft or OSX download. Open the file once it is done loading.

Step 3:

Once you click on the file, the screen below will automatically appear. Select a language and click OK.

The screen below will appear, click on Next.

Step 4:

Carefully read the End-User Licence Agreement. Once you are ready to Accept the Agreement, click on Next.

Keep the STORM box selected. If your cameras are connected to a server and recording on an external NVR or DVR, deselect the PC-NVR box. If you do not have a NVR or DVR, the camera recording will be done locally on your PC and you must select the PC-NVR box. Please note that for this option, there are limitations as to the number of cameras and the storage space. Click Next to continue.

Step 5:

Click Install to continue. Click Browse to install in a different folder.

Select Run STORM and click on Finish.

Step 6:

Select your networks and Allow access.

For this tutorial, our User Name and Password will be admin. Once you’ve entered your User Name and Password click on Login.

Step 7:

You will be automatically directed towards the application. In order to add a device, under Devices, click on Manual Device.

To communicate with our Inaxsys demo server, enter the following information, IP/Domain Name : 76.65.240.132, Port : 37777. Enter your Username and Password. Once this is done, click on Get Info and then on Add.

If you wish to connect your own device to STORM VMS, you must follow the steps below:

1. Start by logging in directly into your device

2. From the Main Menu go to the Setting/ Network

3. Click on P2P

4. By default, the Enable is inactivated. You must activate this function and make sure your device is Online. You need to be connected to the internet in order to be Online.

5. Note your devices’ serial number (SN) found under the second QR code. Click on Apply.

6. Back to your STORM VMS software, in the Manual Add menu shown above, you must change the Method to add from IP/ Domaine to SN(for device support P2P).

7. Enter your SN (serial number) and fill in the rest of the information as explained above.

Step 8:

A new device will appear and the Status will be Online, like shown below. If the status is not online, you will not be able to view your cameras.

Step 9:

To view the cameras, click on the Live View Icon at the top of the screen (1). The installed devices will appear on the right. You can select the cameras you wish to view (2). You can also select the way you would like to split your screen (3).
