Slipon undertray fitting instructions:

1. Take your seat off and disconnect your battery

2. Take your passenger pegs off.

3. Take your seat panels off.

4. Remove your tail light surround.

5. Remove your slipon cans (I only needed to loosen might Arrows).

6. Take photos of your wiring colours for the tail light and indicators. Red sticker should be right side for

indicators. Disconnect them now.

Page 2: How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R · How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R The Slipon version is complete, the lowboy

7. Remove numberplate, numberplate light and indicators plate.

Page 3: How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R · How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R The Slipon version is complete, the lowboy

8. Undo 4 bolts holding numberplate bracket to the subframe.

9. Undo sensor from the bracket.

Page 4: How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R · How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R The Slipon version is complete, the lowboy

10. Remove plastic bit under battery tray.

Page 5: How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R · How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R The Slipon version is complete, the lowboy

11. Clean the dust and grime from the subframe.

12. Cable tie sensor to the subframe. Do not cover the hole or the bike will not work properly.

13. Line up the undertray with the tail light surround holes. Dremel a little if needed.

Page 6: How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R · How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R The Slipon version is complete, the lowboy

14. Loosely fit the bolts back in. I used some rubber washers to replace the space the seat panels take.

15. Assemble the passenger peg bolts. It will be plastic washer then bolt shoulder thingy and then the bolt.

If you putting passenger pegs back on you'll need to drill the second bolt hole.

16. Check the holes at the passenger pegs if they line up. You probably are going to need to Dremel these a

little.

17. Once everything fits properly take it off and put it to one side.

Page 7: How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R · How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R The Slipon version is complete, the lowboy

18. Get the tail light packet out. Cut your current tail light wires at the tail light side (please DO NOT cut it at

the wire-loom side. The tail light is cheap to replace). Also give yourself more wire than I gave myself (silly

mistake).

19. Pop the rubber sleeve on first. Solder on the female connectors to the tail light connector side. Put the

connectors aside in your parts container.

Black = Black

Yellow = Red

20. Get the 4 bolts (depending on your kit) and assemble them. It will be for the

Slipons: bolt, then bottom bracket, rubber support, carbon undertray, rubber support, base plate, metal

washer and finally lock nut.

Page 8: How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R · How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R The Slipon version is complete, the lowboy

21. Using two of the bolts take the bracket supplied and pop that into place. Lightly tighten the 2 bolts and

make sure the bracket is straight.

Drill with either a 5.5mm or a 6mm the bottom bolt holes through. Then drill a 10mm hole in are where the

wires will run through.

22. Depending on what indicators you want to mount. Have a look where you want them to be and mark it for

the holes to drill.

Page 9: How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R · How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R The Slipon version is complete, the lowboy

23. Drill pilot holes and then enlarge to the right size.

24. These holes are for OEM indicators. I had to enlarge the front one for the wires.

25. Next you mark where the numberplate is going if you use screws/bolts.

Page 10: How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R · How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R The Slipon version is complete, the lowboy

26. Drill them.

Page 11: How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R · How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R The Slipon version is complete, the lowboy

27. Next if you are using out numberplate light or the OEM one mark where you need holes and drill them. The

middle holes will be large for the wires. The OEM has a large middle section as well.

28. Next you screw the indicator brackets in place and move them so they sit nicely with the numberplate on.

Use some locktite on the threads.

29. Next put the indicators on. Re-use the bolt, washers and nuts that came with the OEM ones.

30. Pop the cable tie baseplate into place. Don't cable tie the wires till all the parts are assembled and

tightened. This is the last thing you do.

Page 12: How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R · How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R The Slipon version is complete, the lowboy

32. Pull the little tail light's wires we supplied through the rubber shrinkable sleeve. Use a hair-drier to shrink

the rubber to the wires.

33. Pop the wires through the wire hole in the undertray brackets.

34. Get the tail light plug back out and clip it into place.

Page 13: How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R · How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R The Slipon version is complete, the lowboy

35. Once all assembled it will look like this off the bike.

36. Slide the undertray into place on the subframe, don't tighten/use any bolts yet.

37. Loosely install the slipon cans on the subframe.

38. Now check where and if your slipon bracket touched the undertray. The bottom of my Arrow's bracket

touched the undertray as well as the ring clamp. To solve this I used a 5mm spacer to move it outwards and

cut the bolts shorter.

39. Put the undertray as close as you can back onto the subframe and connect all your indicator wires up. The

red electrical tape should be the right indicator.

Left indicator = Green/Brown

Right indicator = Green/White

40. Connect the battery and test your tail light is on and that the indicators are working.

41. Re-assembly: Put a rubber washer between the subframe and the undertray, put a rubber washer between

undertray and the seat panels, put a rubber washer between the seat panels and bolt (if not already there).

42. All done. Now take some photos and come show us your handy work.

Yellow = Red

20. Get the 3 bolts (depending on your kit) and assemble them. It will be for the

Lowboys: bolt, metal washer, plastic washer, then bottom bracket, plastic washer, carbon undertray, plastic

washer, base plate, plstic washer, metal washer and finally lock nut.

Page 22: How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R · How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R The Slipon version is complete, the lowboy

21. Lowboy: Take the bracket supplied and pop that into place on the undertray. I put it onto the edge of the

box (use a table). Put the baseplate into place. Now while holding it all together put 1 off the bolts through

(don't add anything additional to it for now. Loosely tighten it. Do the others next while putting all the washer

in place.

22. Indicators:

22.1 Measure the distance you need for the indicators holes.

22.2 You will need to Drill a 1 or 2 mm guide holes for your indicators onto the sides of the reflector place on

the undertray. You might want to pop it onto the subframe to check it is horisontal when you mark the holes.

22.3 Then increase it slowly in size by going up in drill bit sizes.

22.4 Don't just jump to the big drillbit as it will rip the carbon.

23. Next you need to install the numberplate light. If you have pre-drilled then it straight forward. You might

have to take the rubber sleeve of the wires before you push it through the middle hole.

Page 23: How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R · How to install the carbon headlight bowls or covers Street Triple/R The Slipon version is complete, the lowboy

24. Pull the little tail light's wires we supplied through the rubber shrinkable sleeve. Use a hair-drier to shrink

the rubber to the wires.

25. Pop the wires through the middle hole in the undertray brackets.

26. Decide where you are mounting you indicators. Normally they get mounted each side of the reflector

plate.
