HOW TO MAXIMISE THE PROFIT Following this page are several forms which we have produced to assist you with the sales of the horses, jockeys and sponsorship. Print off the eight race forms with a WANTED page on the back of each. We suggest that you then appoint eight people from your organisation who will be responsible for one race each. Armed with a race form and a sponsorship form they can approach friends family work colleagues etc. and ask them to take part by either sponsoring the race or becoming an owner or jockey. We suggest £20.00 for sponsorship, £3.00 to be an owner and £2.00 to be a jockey. Hand the completed forms to our organiser on the evening who will read out the Owners & Jockeys’ names and the Race Sponsor’s details. SPONSORS Suitable for local business or individual, the Sponsor will get a mention on the night and their details will be read out by our Organiser and thanked on behalf of your organisation. OWNERS There are eight horses in each race so each race requires eight owners. Simply write their name next to the horse of their choice on the forms provided. The winning owner of each race will win a prize. This can be a cash price (50% of the total owners sale price for that race i.e. 8 owners x £3 = £24. Therefore £12 to your cause and £12 as the prize). However the best option is to try to get the prizes donated as this means the whole £24, as in our example, would be raised. JOCKEYS Similarly each race requires eight jockeys and once again their names should be written in the space provided on the Form. The prize could be cash (as explained above) or a donated prize — the best option. Using our given price example with the prizes donated you would raise: Sponsorship (£20) x 8 races = £160 Owners (£3 x 8 horses) x 8 races = £192 Jockeys (£2 x 8 horses) x 8 races == £128 Total raised for your organisation = £480 Before the event starts!! You would then add the profit from the evening (i.e. Tote, Trainers Auction, admission etc.) Fund Raising RACE NIGHTS 80 Brook Street Stourbridge West Midlands DY8 3EP 01384 343545

Using our given price example with the prizes donated you would raise:

Sponsorship (£20) x 8 races = £160 Owners (£3 x 8 horses) x 8 races = £192 Jockeys (£2 x 8 horses) x 8 races == £128 Total raised for your organisation = £480 Before the event starts!!

You would then add the profit from the evening (i.e. Tote, Trainers Auction, admission etc.)
