WE MAKE IT EASY TO SWITCH SUPPLIERS—HERE’S HOW
ENERGY CHOICE AND MAKING YOUR SWITCH
It used to be that you had only one choice when it came to your energy supplier. But laws have introduced deregulation, which means you now
have options other than the utility company when choosing your electricity and natural gas supply.
Energy choice gives you the option to compare the rates, services, and contract terms offered by retail energy suppliers so you can
choose a contract that’s best for your business.
WE MAKE IT EASY TO SWITCH. HERE’S HOW
As a small business owner, you’re faced with the daily challenges of running your business while staying on top of your energy bill.
One of the ways to do that is to choose to switch to a new supplier for your electricity and gas.
We want to help you make switching your energy supplier as easy as possible, so here are some important steps to
help streamline the process.
BEFORE YOU CHOOSE A NEW SUPPLIER:
Ensure your business operates in an area that allows for energy choice
Look at your current electricity or natural gas bill to ensure you are not currently in a contract with another electricity or natural gas retail supplier.
You can find your current rate on your bill under the “supply” portion of your bill.

POTENTIAL CANCELLATION FEES
The Public Utility Commission and your local utility compa-nies support the opportunity for customer choice, and do not penalize you for switching to an alternative supplier.
However, we encourage you to contact your current retail energy supplier to verify any cancellationfees or penalties with them.
