How To Use This Book

Little Books of Blends and Digraphs includes thirty-one reproducible storybooks consisting of twenty beginning blends, seven final blends, and four digraphs. On the final page of each storybook is a word list, pre-reading and post-reading activities, and additional activities that reinforce each story’s specific blend or digraph.

Directions: Reproduce a storybook for each child. Color, cut out along the dotted lines, and staple in numerical order.

Follow all reading suggestions and activities found on the last page of the storybook.

The children in your classroom will be thrilled when they are allowed to keep and take home the storybooks that they have learned to read at school. What an easy and inexpensive way to get reading materials into the hands of children and their families. Watch the eyes of the children light up as they get to keep each new story.
