Oolong Visit

On Friday the 6th of September

3/4B went to Oolong. 3/4B took

their reading or writing books to

read or share with the residents.

The residents were very

impressed with our reading and

writing skills. 3/4B had a

wonderful time.

On Friday the 6th of September it was 3/4B’s turn

to go to Oolong. The Oolong residents gave us a

warm welcome as we started to share. We took

our magazines and writing books. We would like

to thank the resident’s for letting us see them.

On the 6th of September 3/4B went to Oolong. We brought our

Countdown, Blast off and Orbit magazines with us. We took the

classroom magazines because we wanted to entertain the

residents and it was 3/4B’s first time meeting the Oolong dog

Coco. We had an awesome time.

Cooking with Stage One

The smell of freshly squeezed lemonade plus cauliflower and potato soup drifted in

and around our school yesterday with Stage One busily cutting, juicing, mixing and

cooking to make a delicious lunch enjoyed by students and volunteers. We thank Lyn

Gallagher and Eileen Just who set up the hall and coordinated the volunteers during

the cooking program. All students enjoyed the chance to learn new skills and loved

the opportunity to be guided by the parents who volunteered their time to make this

such a rewarding and successful session.

On Monday we had another 2020 Kinder Taster day. The students enjoyed a lovely percussion

session with Mrs Cheeseman. They created a body orchestra using their heads, arms and legs for

percussion. They also created some bell tunes to sing twinkle twinkle little star.

Health Concerns-Over the last few weeks we have had many students unwell with colds, flu

and gastro. There have also been several cases of head lice. Please ensure if your child is

unwell that they are kept at home to avoid spreading of these bugs throughout the school.

Remind your child/children about the vigilance of handwashing and covering their mouth

when coughing. Also remember to check your child’s hair regularly and remind them not to

share hats.

Thank you.
