Quick Reference Guide

Contacts tab

Customize view of Contacts tab

Click the menu button at top right corner

Show or hide offline contacts

Check Show offline contacts to show all contacts

Uncheck Show offline contacts to show only those who are logged in

Show or hide pictures

Check Show contact pictures to show profile pictures

Uncheck Show contact pictures to hide profile pictures

Customize room toolbar

To customize room toolbar

Click Add or remove buttons in toolbar arrow

Check buttons you want to use

Uncheck buttons you don’t want to use

Note: There are corresponding menu options for all buttons so you do not need to use toolbar buttons to access these features.

To have all toolbars expanded automatically whenever you enter room:

Open MyRoom Settings

Select General tab

Check Expand toolbars when I enter a room

Click Save button

Click the Tools to manage people and room features button at top right corner

Check Show contact pictures to show profile pictures

Your own name will appear in bold

During collaborative meeting:

All names listed alphabetically

During events:

Presenters listed alphabetically above Participants

Presenter have an icon to the right

Participants do not have profile pictures


Content panel

Show or hide Content panel

Choose View | Content menu option Click Show/Hide content panel icon on toolbar

Manage content

Click Open content file menu for content management options

To choose a different view:

Click the Open content file menu button

Select View from the menu

Close content

Closing content that is displayed in center viewing area closes it for all attendees

Displayed content can be closed using one of three methods.

1:

Click X in the right corner of the center viewing area

2:

Right-click the item in the Content panel

Select Close from the menu

3:

Click the Open content file menu icon at top of Content panel

Select Close from the menu


Chat

Show or hide Chat

Choose View | Chat menu option Click Show/Hide chat icon on toolbar

You can also hide Chat in your personal view by clicking X in the right corner of the Chat panel

Change size of input field

Drag the divider between chat input field and chat history to make it taller

Change font size

Click the Zoom in icon repeatedly to make text incrementally larger

Click the Zoom out icon repeatedly to make text incrementally smaller

Click the Restore defaults icon to returned text to its standard size at once


Question manager

Question manager is available in rooms but not in chat rooms

Show or hide question manager

Choose View | Questions menu option

Click Show/Hide question manager icon on toolbar

You can also hide Question manager in your personal view by clicking X in the right corner of the Question manager

Change font size

Click the Zoom in icon repeatedly to make text incrementally larger

Click the Zoom out icon repeatedly to make text incrementally smaller

Click the Restore defaults icon to returned text to its standard size at once

Column width

Customize column widths by dragging dividers between columns

As you change width of one column, the columns to the right of it will change to accommodate it

You cannot drag the divider between Question and Me Too columns

You can change the width of the Question column by changing the width of other columns

Choose video position

Choose video position

Video panel will open whenever at least one user has webcam turned on

Hover over webcam icon on toolbar

Select a video position for your personal view

Detach the video panel from the room by selecting Popup

Resize and move popup video panel independently of the room

If you have a second monitor:

Open MyRoom Settings

Select General in left navigation pane

Check the box next to Show popup videos on second display

Picture in picture

Picture in picture is available when you and only one other user have webcams turned on and either of these is true:

video position is center and no content is displayed

video position is popup


Drag to resize panels

Drag to resize panels

Resize various panels by dragging the gray bar between panels

When you make one panel bigger, you make at least one other panel smaller

For example, drag gray bar between

People and Content panels to make one longer

Left and center viewing areas to make one wider

Video and Chat panels to balance their sizes

Actual size/fit to page

You can change the display size of slides, images, whiteboards, and share windows in your personal view at any time

Switch size

Click the icon to toggle between Actual size and Fit to page as needed

Default setting will be restored next time you open a room or chat room or the next time someone shares desktop

Actual size: if your room window is larger than displayed content

See the whole item with gray space above and below and/or on each side

Actual size: if your room window is smaller than displayed content

Scroll bars will be added underneath and along the right side

Text and diagrams will appear larger, making them easier to read

Allows the content to fill center viewing area or share window

No need to scroll up or down, right or left

Zoom in on share window

Zoom in for a closer look at part of share window:

Click for zoom button at lower left corner

Hover over a section of the share

That section will be magnified


Room message

Room message

Enter custom message for attendees such as:

Service desk contact information

Audio conference details

Meeting start time

Other instructions

Choose MyRoom | Room message menu option

Enter up to 2 lines of text

Click OK button

Message will appear along bottom of the room until it is changed or cleared


Theme

Theme

Either choose MyRoom | Theme menu option

Or open MyRoom Settings and select Customization on the left

Select a predefined theme

Cllick Done button
