We emphasised that this can only be done by having exemplary attendance at school and by putting their maximum effort into every lesson that they have. We would like to thank all our students and their families for the effort they have made in starting the new school year in full school uniform. We are aware that there is currently a shortage of school shorts while we negotiate a stronger fabric with our suppliers. This will soon be rectified. Mr Bob Henry Principal, Wauchope High School

Term 1 Week 2 February 2013

BEGINNING 2013 WITH OUR COLOURFUL SWIMMING CARNIVAL!

YEAR 8 MIND MATTERS: MR PINKERTON SHOWS THAT

WE CAN DO ANYTHING IF WE PUT MIND OVER MATTER!

Principal’s Welcome to WHS students and their families in 2013

In commencing the new year I would like to welcome all new students and parents to our school community. I would also

recommend to you to regularly visit our school web site (address at the top of this page) where you can not only find electronic

colour copies of this newsletter but also relevant communications and documents about our school and your child’s education.

Thanks to the generosity and support of our P&C we have purchased paper diaries for all our students. With this diary comes

access for staff, parents and students to an electronic diary; staff can post homework and assessment requirements that parents

and students can have immediate access to via the web. Parents will no longer be left wondering if their child has homework.

You will soon receive information on how to access this.

At our first full school assembly of the year we emphasised the fact to our students that Australia is indeed a land of opportunity

and that education was the opportunity that all our students have. While our students have different abilities they all have the

same opportunity, i.e., to maximise their education to develop and take full advantage of their individual abilities and talents. We

emphasised that this can only be done by having exemplary attendance at school and by putting their maximum effort into every

lesson that they have.

We would like to thank all our students and their families for the effort they have made in starting the new school year in full

school uniform. We are aware that there is currently a shortage of school shorts while we negotiate a stronger fabric with our

suppliers. This will soon be rectified.
