Summary Trial Summary
E2D is only for accessing mode by EcNo measurement, enable TTI switching based on coverage with connected mode to replace E2D
Change the TTI 10ms to 2ms throughput threshold from 710kbps to 1136kbps, TTI 2ms to 10ms throughput threshold from 326kbps to 520kbps,
Trial activated at early morning 6th Nov on GTRH2. The strategy can benefit overall DCR a bit but priced the about 13% loss of HSUPA user,
because disabling of E2D on connected mode results at DCH->HSUPA as well. HSDPA DCR improved only from 0.318% to 0.305% The scenario of UL R99/HSDPA is still the majority in poor coverage.
Huawei Comment This phase trial did not change the trend that UL R99/HSDPA is still
the major scenario of PS drop call. It is not suitable for rollout. Huawei is about to look at the SRBoD subset function which is able
to set up SRBoE for TTI 2ms and SRBoD for TTI 10ms attempting to remain the 2ms high throughput.
