a) Flow rates through pipe lines and quantities of water supplied and released from service reservoirs.
b) Status of water levels in the reservoirs for round the clock observation.
c) Presence of Residual chlorine of water released

the instant & cumulative flows passed through pipe line.

such as RTU’s, Computers, PLC’s, GSM modules at Central Control Station & Field Stations.

Automatic Capture of Vital Hydraulic DATA. • Digital data is automatically generated of all key installations and stored for record &
analysis purpose. Earlier management used to depend on number of manuscript logbooks maintained at various reservoir locations for the similar analysis purpose.
• The data Pertains to flows to Reservoirs, levels of Reservoirs & residual chlorine of water released from reservoir.
Monitoring of Real Time DATA. • Online DATA is regularly monitored pertains to flows & quantities to each reservoir
with reference to the allotted quantities.
Short/Excess Supplies Reports. • Total quantity generated and supplied by the transmission system to each distribution
system vis-à-vis short/excess supplies regulated.
UFW Assessment. • UFW study is taken up to assess the losses at Transmission system, Reservoir &
Distribution System.
Customer Satisfaction for Receipt of Reliable Supplies.. • Presently, one person is generating the reports & communicating to each O&M
Division for their perusal and information about the supplies of the quantities provided to them and even being made known to the customers and public representatives to improve the customer satisfaction.

Tanker Management Before IT
Manual records
– Gate pass at Filling Station.
– Trip details, payment details, free tanker trips.
No records on water drawn
Water audit was not possible due to lack of accurate data on water
drawn and payments received.
No mechanism to ensure on time delivery of tankers to consumers .
– The tanker owner/ filling station in charge used to send water tanker
to consumer as per his/her discretion.
No mechanism to prevent diversion of tankers to unauthorized users
– Consumers (mostly businesses and industries) used to call tanker
owners directly for water tankers.
– Connivance of Tanker in-charge and staff with Tanker operators and
formation of Tanker owners association to black mail any steps to
control them
Effective Water Tanker Service delivery With Smart Cards based tanker
Management System Customers registers Tankers Request though IVRS from their registered mobiles Token number generates along with secret code sent to consumer by SMS. The consumer hands over the secret code to taker person after satisfactory delivery. Each Tanker issued a RFID Smart card for effective accounting of water drawn and number of trips at filling point. Handheld EPOS terminal generates gate pass first come first serve mode.
