The Winner Is ...Ellen, of course! She has beenbusy chairing the Miles of
Hope Breast Cancer Walk,
named to the Poughkeepsie
Childrens Home Board . She
reads the business page to
prepare for her Investment
Club and chaired the Civic
Project for the Garden Club.
Who would havethought!
... that Rocco would speak from
the altar of the Cathedral of
Saint John the Divine
... that Ellen would fit
into a dress that
Julianne wore to a Bat
Mitzvah when she was
13! Must be that
Gluten Free Diet
On June 10th after a brief
illness Marie, Ellens dear mom
passed away
on her
wedding
anniversary.
She was a
devoted wife &
mother to her
7 children.
She will be
remembered
for her love of
jewelry, ice cream & clothes.
She kept us chuckling with lines
like, It is such a shame I wont
get to wear all the new clothes I
just bought.
Her pondering
on whether she
would be able
to hear what
people were
saying at her
wake led
Rocco to walk
up to her
coffin and say
in a very loud voice You Look
Great! and she did.
zYear in ReviewzDogs, Daughters and Deer sum up the year for the Stainos. There
was an addition of 2 dogs to the mix. Elizabeth & Julianne give us
an excuse to brunch in the Big Apple and we are menaced by a herdof deer that think Hydrangea Hill is theirs. Deer Hill perhaps?

2012 Milestones & MillstonesMilestone: Elizabeth
has become a NYC
Foodie.
Millstone: Going outwith her can put a strain
on ones wallet.
Milestone: Ellen just
got a new car with Sirius
radio.
Millstone: Rocco isdriving a Toyota with
180,000 miles & hums.
Milestone: 2 dogs
have joined the clan.
Julianne has Theo & we
have Sadie.Millstone: No
grandchildren.
Milestone: Rocco gets
to NYC at least once a
week.
Millstone: He still hasto stop strangers to ask
for directions.
IntroducingSadie
We adopted the zany
Sadie from the Dutchess
County SPCA in January.
She isnt the 1st Sadie at
Hydrangea Hill.The
previous owner was
named Sadie.
Spreading the BrandA NYC street artist is
spreading the Staino
name. However, no
Staino can be seen
carrying a can of spray
paint.
Life is GoodElizabeth was 6 &
Julianne 4 when we
began theHydrangea
Herald. Through our
yearly communication
you have seen them
grow into lovely young
ladies who buy us nice
Christmas gifts.Hint
