Hydroscand offers a wide range of both high-pressure hoses and industrial
hoses.
The high pressure hoses fits applications for normal to extreme pressure, high
impulses and temperatures. The hoses are especially for hydraulic systems but
also for other applications such as paint spraying, pressure washers, chemicals,
gas pipelines, etc.
The industrial hoses are quality hoses for all applications. Hydroscand offer
hoses with low weight, high flexibility and many dimensions. If you need hoses in
other materials or for special requirements and wishes, we can also help out with
that.

HIGH PRESSURE HOSES
Braided rubber hose
A very flexible hose type, suitable for almost all types of hydraulic applications.
•Up to three braids of high tensile steel wire
•Temperature range from -55°C to +155°C
•Wide variation of covers and top coatings
•Working pressure up to 47.0 MPa
Spiral rubber hose
This hose type is designed for applications with very high pressure combined with
high impulses such as hammer hydraulics.
•Up to six spirals of high tensile steel wire
•Temperature range from -40°C to 121°C
•Wide variation of covers and top coatings
•Working pressure up to 50.0 MPa
Thermoplastic hose
This hose type has outstanding flexibility throughout the temperature range and
has a low volumetric expansion, giving excellent hydraulic response times.
•Wide variation of reinforcements
•Temperature range from -40°C to +100°C
•Good abrasion resistant covers
•Working pressure up to 80.0 MPa

P.T.F.E
The high moleculat weight structure in this type of hose provides an outstanding
resistance towards a wide range of hose chemicals. Combined with their superior
non-stick properties and wide temperature range, hoses made of P.T.F.E. are the
ideal problem-solvers for virtually all aggressive applications.

Hydroscand offers even solutions for hoses used under extreme conditions, like
cold and extreme abrasion. Several of our hoses are MSHA and M.E.D. certified
QUICK RELEASE COUPLINGS, SWIVEL JOINTS
Hydroscand offers many types of quick release fittings, for example environmentally friendly and drip-free fittings, couplings to be connected during pressure, acid resistant fittings for aggressive materials and other fittings with a working pressure up to /PN 100 MPa, bore/NW 3–50 mm, ISO standard and HTMA norms.Hydroscand has a wide range of quick release couplings, both for hydraulics and pneumatics, from some of the biggest names on the market, like TEMA, CEJN, FASTER, HANSEN and BRUNING. Our assortment offers, among others, couplings with or without valves, flush face, thread-to-connect, with pressure eliminator, as well as couplings for very high pressure up to 2000 bar! We even have a complete program of standardized quick couplings in conformity with the ISO norms.
ADAPTORSHydroscand can offer a wide range of adaptors (connector nipples) for different purposes such as:
– transformation between small and large thread dimensions
– swivel transformation for solid threads
– connecting hoses or pipes with threads in valves, pumps and cylinders
– transformation between different thread systems
– bulkhead connection for hoses
– branching pipes or hoses with T-connections
– sealing off pipes, hoses or thread endings.
Our adaptors are normally manufactured in carbon steel of hydraulic quality, i.e. in a crack tested
material. The standard surface treatment is E-Coated, which is the name of the surface treatment we
use on our fittings. This surface treatment is Cr6-free and is therefore better for both the environment
and personal health. Elbow and T-adaptors are normally soldered but some are available in forged
design. When dealing with higher pressures, avoid if possible adaptors with R- or NPTF-thread since
these are harder to seal and often crack the goods when tightened too excessively.

CROSS OVER FITTINGS
Hydroscand’s Cross Over Fittings are suitable for both spiral and braided hoses.
They are recommended for a wide range of fluids such as hydraulic oil, solvents,
gases, water cleaning equipment etc. All fittings are manufactured in one piece
except for the compact bend which are soldered.
There are three types of nuts on the Hydroscand fittings, they can be
recognized by the different suffixes in their part numbers:
FLANGES
Flanges are used in hydraulic systems that require high pressure and high pulsation.
The flanges are manufactured according to SAE J518 code 61 and 62. Code 61
signifies the pressure ratings mentioned below, also called 3000 psi. Code 62
signifies the pressure rate 41.4 MPa, also called 6000 psi.
INTERLOCK FITTINGS
The principle of the interlock fitting is that the hose is skived both internally and
externally in order to create two zones: one locking and one sealing.
The locking is created in the front of the fitting, where nipple and ferrule are swaged
together with the reinforcement of the hose.
The back of the fitting is the sealing part; the sealing part is created between nipple
and inner tube.
The interlock fitting is recommended for hydraulic systems with very high pulsating
pressure and requirements of safety.
REUSABLE FITTINGS
Reusable fittings are only used on hoses with braided steel reinforcement, type
1SN and 2SN.
Ferrules are available for both the skive and non-skive assembly. Fittings in
dimensions from 1 / 4 "to 1".
Reusable fittings is recommended for hydraulics with moderate pressure, and
where you need to assembly the hose pipes without assembling equipment.
Remember that a good assembly requires accuracy.
