    Air Tank: The air tank on your Air Compressor is designed and may be UM coded[for units with air tanks greater than 6" (152.4 mm) diameter] according to ASMESection VIII, Div. 1 rules. All pressure vessels should be inspected once every twoyears. To find your state pressure vessels inspector, look under the Division of Laborand Industries in the government section of a phone book.The following conditions could lead to a weakening of the air tank, and result in aviolent air tank explosion:

Whenthe tank pressure drops to a certain

    low level the motor will restart auto-matically. The low pressure at whichthe motor automatically restarts iscalled "cut-in" pressure.Cut-Out Pressure: When an air com-pressor is turned on and begins torun, air pressure in the air tank beginsto build. It builds to a certain highpressure before the motor automati-cally shuts off, protecting your air tankfrom pressure higher than its capacity.The high pressure at which the motorshuts off is called "cut-out" pressure.Branch Circuit: Circuit carrying elec-tricity from electrical panel to outlet.

    This air compressor pump is capableof running continuously. However,to prolong the life of your air com-pressor, it is recommended that a50%-75% average duty cycle be

    maintained; that is, the air compres-sor pump should not run more than30-45 minutes in any given hour.

    TOOLS REQUIRED FORASSEMBLY

    1 - 9/16" (14 mm) socket or openend wrench

    1 - 1/2" (13 mm) socket or open endwrench

    3, Slowly push the open ends ofthe handle onto both tabs at thesame time. Continue pushing thehandle into the saddle until theholes on the side of the saddleand handle are in line.

    UNPACKINGRemove unit from carton and discardall packaging. NOTE: Save all partsbags.

    TO INSTALL HANDLE

    _The wheels andhandle do not

    provide adequate clearance,stability, or support for pulling theunit up and down stairs or steps.The unit must be lifted or pushedup a ramp. Do not lift the unit by themanifold assembly; the unit couldbe damaged.

    1. To make installation easier, sub-merge handle grip into warmsoapy water. Remove handle gripfrom soapy water and slide ontohandle.

    2. Insert the open ends of thehandle under the saddle. Beforeattaching handle, you may haveto pull the open ends of the han-dle apart so they fit tightly againstthe side of the saddle. Looking infrom the open end of the saddle,position the handle toward thetwo bent tabs, on the inside wallsof the saddle.

    4, Guide the straight end of eachretaining clip through the saddlehole and both handle holes.

  • 5. Rotate each retaining clip clock-wise and press down until itsnaps into place over the handle.

    6, If the handle has excessivemovement, it is improperlyinstalled. Check the following.

    A. Are both tabs inside thehandle (Step #3)?

    B. Does each clip pass throughboth the saddle and handle(Step #4)?

    TO ASSEMBLE WHEELS

    It will be necessaryto brace or support

    one side of the air compressor wheninstalling the wheels because thecompressor will have a tendency totip.

    1. Attach wheels with shoulder boltsand nuts as shown.

    2. Tighten securely. NOTE: The aircompressor will sit level if thewheels are properly installed.

    The wheels andhandle do not

    provide adequate clearance, stabilityor support for pulling the unit up anddown stairs or steps. The unit mustbe lifted, or pushed up a ramp.

    ASSEMBLE RUBBER FEET1. Attach rubber feet with the

    screws, washers and nuts pro-vided as shown in figure below.

    2. Tighten securely.

  • LOCATION OF THE AiRCOMPRESSOR

    • Locate the air compressor in aclean, dry, and well ventilatedarea.

    Place on a solid surface to pre-vent rocking or tipping.The air compressor should belocated at least 12" (30.5 cm)away from the wall or otherobstructions that will interferewith the flow of air.

    The air filter must be kept clear ofobstructions which could reduceair flow to the air compressor.The air compressor requiresfresh air flow for proper cool-ing. DO NOT ALLOW THECOMPRESSOR TO GET WET.

    GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

    RISK OF-- ELECTRICALSHOCK. in the event of a shortcircuit, grounding reduces the riskof shock by providing an escapewire for the electric current. Thisair compressor must be properlygrounded.

    The portable air compressor isequipped with a cord having a ground-ing wire with an appropriate groundingplug (see following illustrations). Theplug must be used with an outlet thathas been installed and grounded inaccordance with all local codes andordinances.

    1. The cord set and plug with thisunit contains a grounding pin.This plug MUST be used with agrounded outlet.

    iMPORTANT: The outlet being usedmust be installed and grounded inaccordance with all local codes andordinances.

    2, Make sure the outlet being usedhas the same configuration as thegrounded plug. DO NOT USE ANADAPTER. See illustration.

    3. Inspect the plug and cord beforeeach use. Do not use if there aresigns of damage.

    4. If these grounding instructions arenot completely understood, or if indoubt as to whether the compres-sor is properly grounded, have theinstallation checked by a qualifiedelectrician.

    Do not modify the plug provided. Ifit does not fit the available outlet, acorrect outlet should be installed bya qualified electrician.Repairs to the cord set or plugMUST be made by a qualifiedelectrician.

    EXTENSION CORDS

    Using extension cords is notrecommended. The use of extensioncords will cause voltage to dropresulting in power loss to the motorand overheating.

  • Instead of using an extension cord,increase the working reach of theair hose by attaching another lengthof hose to its end. Attach additionallengths of hose as needed.If an extension cord must be used, besure it is:• a 3-wire extension cord that has a

    3-blade grounding plug, and a 3-slot receptacle that will accept theplug on the productin good conditionno longer than 50 feet12 gauge (AWG) or larger. (Wiresize increases as gauge numberdecreases. 10 AWG and 8 AWGmay also be used. DO NOT USE14 OR 16 AWG.)

    VOLTAGE AND CIRCUITPROTECTION

    Refer to the specification chart for thevoltage and minimum branch circuitrequirements.

    _Risk of UnsafeOperation. Certain

    air compressors can be operatedon a 15 amp circuit if the followingconditions are met.

    1. Voltage supply to circuit mustcomply with the NationalElectrical Code.

    2. Circuit is not used to supply anyother electrical needs.

    3. Extension cords comply withspecifications.

    4. Circuit is equipped with a 15 ampcircuit breaker or 15 amp timedelay fuse. NOTE: If compressoris connected to a circuit protect-ed by fuses, use only time delayfuses. Time delay fuses should bemarked "D" in Canada and "T" inthe US.

    If any of the above conditions cannotbe met, or if operation of the compres-sor repeatedly causes interruptionof the power, it may be necessary tooperate it from a 20 amp circuit. It isnot necessary to change the cord set.

    120/240 DUAL VOLTAGE MOTOR

    This model has a dual voltage motor,120 and 240 volt. It is wired for 120volt but can be converted to 240 voltoperation. Instructions for connectingthe motor for operation at 240 volt canbe found printed on the label attachedto the side of the motor.

    When converting to240V operation, the

    attached three-prong 120V cordassembly must be replaced with athree-pronged 240V cord assembly(K-0080) that can be purchasedthrough a Sears Service Center.

  • KNOW YOUR AIR COMPRESSORREAD THIS OWNER'S MANUAL AND SAFETY RULES BEFORE OPERATINGYOUR UNIT. Compare the illustrations with your unit to familiarize yourself withthe location of various controls and adjustments. Save this manual for future ref-erence.

    On/Auto/Off

    On/Auto/Off Switch: Turn this switch"On/Auto" to provide automatic powerto the pressure switch and "Off" toremove power at the end of each use.Pressure Switch: The pressure switchautomatically starts the motor whenthe air tank pressure drops below thefactory set "cut-in" pressure. The pres-sure switch stops the motor when theair tank pressure reaches the factoryset "cut-out" pressure.Safety Valve: If the pressure switchdoes not shut off the air compressorat its "cut-out" pressure setting, thesafety valve will protect against highpressure by "popping out" at its fac-tory set pressure (slightly higher thanthe pressure switch "cut-out" setting).Outlet Pressure Gauge: The outletpressure gauge indicates the air pres-sure available at the outlet side of theregulator. This pressure is controlled bythe regulator and is always less than orequal to the tank pressure.Tank Pressure Gauge: The tank pres-sure gauge indicates the reserve airpressure in the tank.

    Regulator: Controls the air pressureshown on the outlet pressure gauge.Pull the knob out and turn clockwiseto increase pressure and counterclock-wise to decrease pressure. When thedesired pressure is reached push knobin to lock in place.Universal Quick-Connect Body: Theuniversal quick-connect body acceptsthe three most popular styles of quick-connect plugs: Industrial, automotive(Tru-flate), and ARC. One hand push-to-connect operation makes connec-tions simple and easy.Drain Valve: Thedrain valve islocated at thebase of the airtank and is usedto drain conden-sation at the end of each use.

    Cooling System (not shown): Thiscompressor contains an advanceddesign cooling system. At the heart ofthis cooling system is an engineeredfan. It is perfectly normal for this fan toblow air through the vent holes in largeamounts. You know that the coolingsystem is working when air is beingexpelled.

  • Air Compressor Pump (not shown):Compresses air into the air tank.Working air is not available until thecompressor has raised the air tankpressure above that required at the airoutlet.

    Check Valve: When the air compres-sor is operating, the check valve is"open", allowing compressed air toenter the air tank. When the air com-

    pressor reaches "cut-out" pressure,the check valve "closes", allowing airpressure to remain inside the air tank.

    Pressure Release Valve: The pres-sure release valve, located on the sideof the pressure switch, is designed toautomatically release compressed airfrom the compressor head and theoutlet tube when the air compressorreaches "cut-out" pressure or is shutoff. The pressure release valve allowsthe motor to restart freely. When themotor stops running, air will be heardescaping from this valve for a fewseconds. No air should be heardleaking when the motor is running orafter unit reaches "cut-out" pressure.Air Intake Filter (not shown) Thisfilter is designed to clean air cominginto the pump. This filter must alwaysbe clean and ventilation openings freefrom obstructions. See Maintenance.Motor: This motor has a manual ther-mal overload protectoE If the motoroverheats for any reason, the overloadprotector will shut off the motor.     Break-in Procedure

    _Risk of UnsafeOperation. Serious

    damage may result if the followingbreak-in instructions are not closelyfollowed.

    This procedure is required before theair compressor is put into service andwhen the check valve or a completecompressor pump has been replaced.1. Make sure the On/Auto/Off switch

    is in the "Off" position.2. Check oil level in pump. See "Oil"

    paragraph in the Maintenancesection for instructions.

    NOTE: If quick connect is installed,pull coupler back until it clicks toprevent air from escaping through thequick connect.3. Plug the power cord into the cor-

    rect branch circuit receptacle.(Refer to Voltage and CircuitProtection paragraph in theInstallation section of this manual.)

  • 4. Open the drain valve (counter-clockwise) fully to permit air toescape and prevent air pressurebuild up in the air tank during thebreak-in period.

    5. Move the On/Auto/Off switch to"On/Auto" position. The compres-sor will start.

    6. Run the compressor for 20 min-utes. Make sure the drain valveis open and there is minimal airpressure build-up in tank.

    7. After 20 minutes, close the drainvalve by turning clockwise. The airreceiver will fill to "cut-out" pres-sure and the motor will stop.

    The compressor is now ready for use.

    Before Each Start-Up1. Set the On/Auto/Off switch to

    "Off".

    2. Pull regulator knob out, turncounterclockwise until it stops.Push knob in to lock in place.

    3. Attach hose and accessories.NOTE: The hose or accessory willrequire a quick connect plug if theair outlet is equipped with a quickconnect socket.

    grasp air hose in hand wheninstalling or disconnecting toprevent hose whip.

    _Risk of Bursting.Too much air

    pressure causes a hazardous risk ofbursting. Check the manufacturer'smaximum pressure rating for airtools and accessories. The regulatoroutlet pressure must never exceedthe maximum pressure rating.

    _Risk of unsafeoperation.

    Compressed air from the unit maycontain water condensation andoil mist. Do not spray unfiltered airat an item that could be damagedby moisture. Some air tools andaccessories may require filteredair. Read the instructions for the airtools and accessories.

    How to Start1. Set the On/Auto/Off switch to

    "On/Auto" and allow tank pressureto build. Motor will stop when tankpressure reaches "cut-out" pres-sure.

    2. Pull the regulator knob out andturn clockwise to increase pres-sure. When the desired pressureis reached push knob in to lock inplace.

    If any unusual""__ noise or vibration

  • Before starting compressor, pull thering on the safety valve to make surethat the safety valve operates freely. Ifthe valve is stuck or does not operatesmoothly, it must be replaced with thesame type of valve.

    TO DRAIN TANK

    _Risk of UnsafeOperation. Risk

    from noise. Air tanks contain highpressure air. Keep face and otherbody parts away from outlet ofdrain. Use ANSI Z87.1 eye protection(CAN/CSA Z94.3) when draining asdebris can be kicked up into face.Use ear protection [(ANSI $12.6(S3.fg) hearing protection] as airflow noise is loud when draining.

    1. Set the On/Auto/Off switch to"Off".

    2. Pull the regulator knob out andturn clockwise to set the outletpressure to zero.

    3. Remove the air tool or accessory.4. Pull ring on safety valve allowing

    air to bleed from the tank untiltank pressure is approximately 20PSI. Release safety valve ring.

    5. Drain water from air tank by open-ing drain valve on bottom of tank.

    _Risk of Bursting.Water will

    condense in the air tank. If notdrained, water will corrode andweaken the air tank causing a riskof air tank rupture.

    _Risk of PropertyDamage. Drainwater from air tank may contain oiland rust which can cause stains.

    6. After the water has been drained,close the drain valve. The air com-pressor can now be stored.

    NOTE: If drain valve is plugged,release all air pressure. The valve canthen be removed, cleaned, the rein-stalled.

    OIL

    _This compressorwas shipped with

    oil in the pump crankcase. Checkoil before operating air compressor,see Check Oil under Maintenance.

    Risk of Bursting.Drain tank to release

    air pressure before removing the oilfill cap or oil drain plug.

    Use aircompressor oil

    only. Multi-weight automotiveengine oils like t0W30 shouldnot be use in air compressors.They leave carbon deposits oncritical components, thus reducingperformance and compressor life.

    Checking1. Place unit on a level surface.

    2. Remove the oil fill plug (A). The oillevel should be even with the topof the fill hole and no lower than 6threads from the top of fill hole.

    2. If needed, slowly add oil until itreaches the top of fill hole.

    NOTE: Use 30W compressor oil ora heavy duty SAE 30W, non-deter-gent, SF grade or better oil DO NOTuse multi-weight automotive engineoils, they will reduce compressor life.Under extreme winter condition useSAE-10 weight oil.

    Changing1. Place unit on a level surface.

    2. Remove the oil fill plug (A).3. Remove the oil drain plug (B) and

    drain oil into a suitable container.

    4. Replace the oil drain plug (B) andtighten secure.

    AIR FILTER INSPECTION ANDREPLACEMENT

    Risk of Burns,Compressor head

    and cylinder sleeve are very hot. Donot touch. Allow compressor to coolprior to servicing.

    A dirty air filter will not allow the com-pressor to operate at full capacity.Keep the air filter clean at all times.1. Remove the air filter cover.2. Remove the air filter from filter

    cover.

    IMPORTANT: Do not operate thecompressor with the air filter removed.3. Place new air filter into filter cover.

    Refer to the "Repair Parts" for thecorrect part number.

    4. Replace air filter cover and lockinto place.

    MOTOR PULLEY/FLYWHEELALIGNMENT

    NOTE: Once the motor pulley hasbeen moved from its factory set loca-tion, the grooves of the flywheel andpulley must be aligned to within 1/16"(1.6 mm) to prevent excessive beltwear.

    The air compressor flywheel and motorpulley must be in-line (in the sameplane) within 1/16" (1.6 mm) to assurebelt retention within flywheel beltgrooves. To check alignment, performthe following steps:1. Unplug air compressor from

    power source.

    Remove belt guard.Place a straightedge against theoutside of the flywheel and themotor drive pulley.Measure the distance betweenthe edge of the belt and thestraightedge at points A1 and A2in figure. The difference betweenmeasurements should be no morethan 1/16" (1.6 mm).

    5. If the difference is greater or lessthan 1/16" (1.6 mm) loosen theset screw holding the motor drivepulley to the shaft and adjust thepulley's position on the shaft untilthe A1 and A2 measurementsare within 1/16" (1.6 mm) of eachother.

    6. Torque the motor drive pulley setscrew to 70-80 in.-Ibs.

    7. Visually inspect the motor drivepulley to verify that it is perpen-dicular to the drive motor shaft.Points B1 and B2 of Figure shouldappear to be equal. If they arenot, loosen the setscrew of themotor drive pulley and equalize B1and B2, using care not to disturbthe belt alignment performed instep 2.

    8. Retighten the motor drive pulleysetscrew to 70-80 in.-Ibs.

    9. Reinstall belt guard.

    AIR COMPRESSOR PUMPINTAKE AND EXHAUST VALVES

    Unscrew the check valve (turncounterclockwise) using a 7/8"(22 mm) open end wrench. Notethe orientation for reassembly.

    Using a screwdriver, carefullypush the valve disc up and down.NOTE: The valve disc should

    move freely up and down on aspring which holds the valve discin the closed position; if not mov-ing freely the check valve needs tobe cleaned or replaced.

    7. Clean or replace the check valve.A solvent, such as paint or varnishremover can be used to clean thecheck valve.

    8. Apply sealant to the check valvethreads. Reinstall the check valve

    10. Replace the outlet tube and tight-en nuts.

    11. Perform the Break-in Procedure.See "Break-in Procedure" in theOperation section.

  • PRESSURE SWITCH =REPLACEMENT

    Risk of Bursting.Pressure leads

    beyond design limits may causetank rupture or explosion. Pressureswitch operation is related to motorHP, tank rating, and safety valvesetting. Do not attempt to adjust,remove, or defeat the pressureswitch, or change and modify anypressure control related device, ifreplacement is necessary the samerated switch must be used. Contacta trained service technician forreplacement.

    TO REPLACE REGULATOR

    1. Release all air pressure from airtank. See "To Drain Tank" in theMaintenance section.

    2. Unplug air compressor.3. Remove the regulator ring and

    remove the console cover.

    12. Reassemble outlet pressuregauge,tank pressure gauge, andquick connect. Orient outlet pres-sure gauge and tank pressuregauge to read correctly. Tightenquick connect with wrench.

    13. Rotate pressure switch assemblyinto correct position.

    14. Replace console cover and regu-lator ring.

    15. Replace handle. Refer to "HandleAssembly" paragraph in theAssembly section.

    Risk of UnsafeOperations. Serious

    injury or damage may occur ifparts of the body or loose itemsget caught in moving parts. Neveroperate the unit with the belt guardremoved. The belt guard should beremoved only when the compressoris unplugged.

    1. Place the On/Auto/Off lever in the"Off" position.

    2. Unplug compressor.3. Remove the front of the belt guard

    by disengaging the snaps. Inserta flat bladed screwdriver at eachsnap location and pry the belt-guard apart.

    4. Loosen the wing nut on holddown plate and tilt motor to allowfor easy removal or installation ofthe belt.

    5. Remove belt.

    6. Replace belt. NOTE: The beltmust be centered over thegrooves on the flywheel and motorpulley.

    7. Turn the wing nut on the holddown plate until it makes contactwith the washer, plus one addi-tional turn.

    8. Replace the belt guard.

    Before you store the air compressor,make sure you do the following:1. Review the Maintenance section

    on the preceding pages and per-form scheduled maintenance asnecessary.

    2. Set the On/Auto/Off lever to "Off"and unplug unit.

    3. Turn the regulator counterclock-wise and set the outlet pressureto zero.

    4. Remove the air tool or accessory.5. Pull ring on safety valve allowing

    air to bleed from the tank untiltank pressure is approximately20 PSI. Release safety valve ring.

    6. Drain water from air tank byopening drain valve on bottom oftank.

    2. InseCcarel extreme abie¢_o del asabajo la montura. Antes de fijar elasa, puede ser necesario separar losextremos abiertos del asa para queentren ajustados contra los costadosde la montura. Mirando hacia adentrodesde el extreme abierto de la montu-ra, colocar el asa contra las dos aletasdobladas en las paredes interiores dela montura.

    INSTRUOOIONES PARA CONEOTAR ATERRA

    Acerca del voltaje y la minima cantidad decircuitos requeridos, refi@ase al cuadro deespecificaciones.

    Lasegura. Ciertos cempresores de mirepueden ser operados en un circuitode 15 A, siempre que se cumplan lassiguientes condiciones:

    1. Que el voltaje suministrado a trav6s delos ramales del circuito sea de 15A.

    2. Que el circuito no sea utilizado paraalimentar ninguna otra necesidad el6c-trica.

    3. Que los cables de extensi6n cumplancon las especificaciones.

    4. El circuito cuenta con un disyuntor de15 amperios o un fusible de acci6nretardada de 15 amperios. NOTA: Siel compresor estA conectado a un cir-cuito protegido per fusibles, use s61ofusibles de acci6n retardada. Los fus-ibles de acci6n retardada deben estarmarcados con la letra "D" en Canaday "T" on EE.UU.

    Si cualquiera de las condiciones enumera-das no pudiese ser cumplida, o si el funcio-namiento del compresor causara reiteradasinterrupciones de la energia con la que seIo alimenta, podrfa ser necesario operaral mismo desde un circuito de 20A. Paraello no serA necesario cambiar su cable delimentaci6n.

  • Sistema de enfriamiento (no mostrado):Este compresor contiene un sistema deavanzada para el control de enfriamiento.En el nQcleo de este sistema de enfria-miento hay un ventilador especialmentediseSado. Resulta perfectamente normal- para este ventilador - soplar mire engrandes cantidades a tray,s de los orificiosde ventilaci6n. De tal manera se podrasaber que el sistema de enfriamiento tra-baja cuando el mire esta siendo expelido.Bomba de eompresi6n del mire (nomostrada): Comprime el mire dentro deltanque. El mire de trabajo no se encuentradisponible hasta que el compresor hayaalcanzado a Ilenar el tanque hasta un nivelde presi6n por encima del requerido parala salida del mire.

    V_lvula reguladora: Cuando el compresorde mire se encuentra funcionando, la vAI-vula reguladora esta "abierta", permitiendola entrada del mire comprimido al tanque demire. Cuando el nivel de presi6n del tanquealcanza el punto de "corte", la v_lvula reg-uladora "se cierra", reteniendo la presi6ndel mire dentro del tanque.

    V_lvula aliviadora de presi6m La v_lvulaaliviadora de presi6n se encuentra ubicadaen el costado del interruptor de presi6n;ha sido disedada para liberar autom_ti-camente el mirecomprimido de la cabezacompresora y el tubo de salida, cuando elcompresor de mire alcanza la presi6n de"corte" o es apagado. La valvula aliviadorade presi6n permite el arranque libre delmotor. Cuando el motor se detiene, deberfaescucharse el escape del mire a traves dedicha v_lvula durante unos segundos. Nodebe escucharse escape alguno mientrasel motor esta en marcha, ni p_rdidas con-tinuas una vez que se alcanz6 la presi6n"de corte".

    Filtro para la entrada del mire (nomostrado}: Este filtro esta disedado paralimpiar el mire que entra a la bomba. Dichofiltro debe estar siempre limpio y los orifi-cios de ventilaci6n libres de obstrucciones.Vea "Mantenimiento".

    Motor: Este motor tiene un protectormanual de sobrecarga termica. Si el motorse sobrecalienta por cualquier motivo, elprotector de sobrecarga apaga el motor.Debe permitirse que el motor enfrie antesde volverlo a arrancar de la siguiente forma:Para volver a arrancar1. Mover la

    palanquita deOn/Auto/Off ala posici6n de"Off".

    2. Permitir queel motor seenfrfe.

    3. Presionar elbot6n rojo deReinicializaci6n(Reset) que est& en el motor.

    4. Para arrancar el motor mover lapalanquita de On/Auto/Off a laposici6n de "On/Auto".

    COMO UTILIZAR SU UNIDAD

    C6mo detenerla

    1. Apague colocando el interruptor en"apagado".

    Procedimiento para el asentamiento

    _ Riesgo deOperaci6n

    Insegura. Si no se siguendetalladamente las instrucciones para elasentamiento se pueden causar da6osserios.

    Este procedimiento es necesario antes deponer en servicio al compresor de mire, ycuando la valvula reguladora o la bombacompleta del compresor haya sido reem-plazada.1. Cerci6rese que el interruptor est6

    "apagado".2. Verifique el nivel de aceite en la

    bomba. Para recibir instrucciones,lea al p_rrafo "Aceite" en la secci6nMantenimiento.

  • NOTA: Tire del acoplamiento hacia arras hastapercibir el "clic" que impide el escape del airede la cenexiSn r_.pida.3. Enchufe el cable de alimentaciSn en

    el tomacorriente del ramal del cir-cuito correcto. (Referirse al pArrafo"Protecci6n del voltaje y del circuito"en la secci6n InstalaciSn de estemanual).

    4. Abrir pot completo (contra el sentidodel reloj) para dejar escapar aire y evi-tar que la presiSn del tanque aumentedurante el periodo de asentamiento.

    5. Mueva el interruptor a la posici6n de"encendido". El compresor se pondr_en marcha.

    6. Haga funcionar el compresor durante20 minutos. AsegOrese de que lavAIvula de drenaje est6 abierta y quela presiOn de aire acumulado en eltanque sea minima.

    7. Despues de 20 minutos, cerrar la vAI-vula de drenaje girandola en el sentidodel reloj. El tanque de aire se Ilenar_hasta alcanzar la presi6n de corte y elmotor se detendr_.

    Ahora el compresor est_ listo para usarse.

    Antes de cada puesta en marcha1. Apague colocando el interruptor

    en "apagado".

    2. Tire de la perilla del regulador, gire ensentido antihorario hasta el limite. Empujela perilla hasta su posici6n blocante.

    3. Conecte la manguera y accesorios.

    Demasiada presi6n de aire podr_ ser lacausa de riesgo de explosi6n. Verifiquelos valores de maxima presi6n dadosper el fabricante de las herramientasneum_iticas y los accesorios. La presibnde salida del regulador jam_s debeexceder los valores de maxima presi6nespecificados.

    El aire comprimido de la unidad puedecontener condensaci6n de agua yemanacibn de aceite. No pulverice aireno filtrado sobre un articulo que podriadaSarse con la humedad. AIgunosdispositivos o herramientas neum&ticaspueden requerir aire filtrado. Lealas instrucciones del dispositivo o laherramienta neum&tica.

    Cbmo poner en marcha1. Coloque el interruptor en la posici6n

    de "encendido" y deje que se incre-mente la presiSn del tanque. El motorse detendrA una vez alcanzado el valorde presi6n "de corte" del tanque.

    2. Tire de la perilla del regulader y gire ensentido horario para incrementar la pre-si6n. Cuando el valor deseado de presi6nsea legrado, presione la perilla hasta suposici6n blocante.

    _Si observa alg_nruido o vibraci6n
