•Ireland is situated on island on Atlantic Ocean. This country has one terrestrial border with Great Britain on the North.
Celtic People
•The Irish people is indo-european People. A lot of those people are Celtic People.They are the eldest people of Europe.They are from Galia and ancient Rome.
The capital of Ireland is Dublin
• In Dublin are three popular buildings:1. The statue of Molly Malone2. Trinity College, Dublin3. National Gallery
Music Irish music is famous from Celtic music. This indo-european people have made this popular music, which is knows over the world.
St Patrick is the patron of Ireland.
• He was probably born in Wales. Irish pirates captured him and sold him to an Irishman.Patrick had to work and he performed many miracles. After, he came back to Wales.He became a priest and dieced to bring CHRISTIANITY to Ireland. Irish people who listened to him, became CHRISTIANS.
• He died on 17 March 461 AD.
St Patrick’s Day• People celebrated St Patrick’s Day on 17 March.It’s national holiday in Ireland. We can see great parades in many cities.
• On that day people wear green clothes and green ribbons. They decorate their houses with shamrocks.
• The Shamrock is the symbol of Ireland because St Patrick used it, to explain the idea of the Trinity.
