I I I I I I I I I I I I J OBITUARIES Clara Belle Grewe July 5,1917 - November 3, 2001 Clara Belle Grewe, 84, of Huntsville, passed away at 9 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2001 at Fair Park Nursing Home in Huntsville. She was born July 5,1917 in Bernardo to Heinrich Carl Daniel Grewe and Malchen Hollien Grewe. Survivors include a sister, Viola Ann Schilling of Huntsville; brother, W.F. "Shorty" Grewe and wife, George Marie, of Sweeny; a number of nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, from the Chapel of Dulany Funeral Home in Eagle Lake with Rev. Edward Boineau officiating. Interment followed in Lakeside Cemetery in Eagle Lake. Dulany Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were her nephews. Sympathy is extended to the family in their loss. /. David Wahrmund July 20,1937 - November 1,2001 J. David Wahrmund, 64, of Houston, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2001 at the Memorial Herman Northwest Hospital in Houston. A native of Harris County, he was born July 20, 1937 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Houston to Edgar and Sarah Black Wahrmund. He graduated from Spring Branch High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. A member of the First Presbyterian Church of Houston, he taught school briefly, then worked as a technical engineer in the construction industry for most of working career. Survivors include his parents of Las Cruces, New Mexico; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glen and Bert Wahrmund of Houston and Barry and Charlene Wahrmund of El Paso; three nieces; three nephews; other relatives and loved ones. Memorial services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, from the First Presbyterian Church of Houston with Rev. Roemer Hudler officiating. Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, from the Masonic Cemetery in Eagle Lake. Dulany Funeral Home in Eagle Lake was in charge of local arrangements. Sympathy is extended to the family in their loss. Auction The East Bernard Chamber of Commerce will host the 2001 Christ- mas parade Saturday, Dec. 1, starting at 10 a.m. on Hwy. 90A. (See route map at right below.) Santa Claus will be in attendance and has agreed take pictures at the Pic- ket Fence on Pietzsch Street at the end of the parade until 1p.m. Then, he will need to head back to the North Pole. The Chamber would like to invite everyone to participate in this year's parade. There is a lot of excitement building for the parade and should be the best ever. In honor of showing the commun- ity's unity since the tragedy of Sept. 11, the themeof the parade will be"An American Country Christmas."
